Bible verses about "gifts" | ABU

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom ye have from God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

Romans 8:1

1 THERE is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

1 NOW concerning the spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles carried away to the dumb idols, as ye were led. 3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed; and no one can say, Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but the same God who works all in all. 7 But to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit, for profiting. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith, by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healings by the one Spirit; 10 to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diversities of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But all these works the one and self-same Spirit, dividing to each one severally as he will.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31

12 For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot say: Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body. 16 And if the ear say: Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now, God set the members each one of them in the body, as it pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20 But now there are many members, but one body. 21 And the eye can not say to the hand, I have no need of thee; nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary; 23 and those which we think to be less honorable parts of the body, on these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24 And our comely parts have no need; but God attempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that which lacked; 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members each one. 28 And God set some in the church, apostles first, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governings, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But desire earnestly the greater gifts; and moreover, I show to you a more excellent way.

1 Corinthians 12:12-26

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Acts 2:38

38 And Peter said to them: Repent, and be each of you immersed, upon the name of Jesus Christ, unto remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 12:3-8

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God imparted to each one the measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office; 5 so we, the many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another. 6 And having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of our faith; 7 or ministry, [let us wait] on the ministry; or he that teaches, on the teaching; 8 or he that exhorts, on the exhortation; he that gives, [let him do it] with simplicity; he that presides, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

2 Corinthians 9:15

15 Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

Colossians 3:17

17 And whatever ye do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Romans 11:29

29 For unrepented are the gifts and the calling of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not of works, lest any one should boast.

James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom there is no variableness, or shadow of turning.

1 Peter 4:10

10 according as each received a gift, ministering the same to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;
