³⁷ Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. ³⁸ This is the great and first commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like to it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self. ⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

⁴⁴ Ye are of your father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abides not in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; because he is a liar, and the father of it.

¹⁹ Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom ye have from God, and ye are not your own? ²⁰ For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

¹⁵ Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? Far be it! ¹⁶ Know ye not that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? For the two, says he, shall be one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man commits is without the body; but he that commits fornication, sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom ye have from God, and ye are not your own? ²⁰ For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

² in which ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience;

²³ for all sinned, and come short of the glory of God;)

⁴⁶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

²⁹ And Peter answering, and the apostles, said: We ought to obey God rather than men.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, that he may forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁵ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

¹ BUT know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, without love to the good, ⁴ betrayers, headlong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; ⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; and from these turn away. ⁶ For of these are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ⁷ ever learning, and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

¹⁴ But each one is tempted, when by his own lust he is drawn away and enticed. ¹⁵ Then lust, having conceived, brings forth sin; and sin, when completed, brings forth death.
