¹⁷ So that if any one is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.

⁹ [him,] whose coming is after the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness for those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

¹⁷ So then faith comes of hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

¹ BUT know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, without love to the good, ⁴ betrayers, headlong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.

²⁴ And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said: I believe; help thou my unbelief.

⁷ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it does not submit itself to the law of God, neither indeed can it;

⁷ ever learning, and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

³ For the time will come when they will not endure the sound teaching, but according to their own desires will to themselves heap up teachers, having itching ears; ⁴ and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to fables.
