  37 H7592 וישׁאל asked counsel H7586 שׁאול And Saul H430 באלהים of God, H3381 הארד Shall I go down H310 אחרי after H6430 פלשׁתים the Philistines? H5414 התתנם wilt thou deliver H3027 ביד them into the hand H3478 ישׂראל of Israel? H3808 ולא him not H6030 ענהו But he answered H3117 ביום day. H1931 ההוא׃ that

  38 H559 ויאמר said, H7586 שׁאול And Saul H5066 גשׁו Draw ye near H1988 הלם hither, H3605 כל all H6438 פנות the chief H5971 העם of the people: H3045 ודעו and know H7200 וראו and see H4100 במה wherein H1961 היתה hath been H2403 החטאת this sin H2063 הזאת this H3117 היום׃ day.

  40 H559 ויאמר Then said H413 אל he unto H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H859 אתם ye H1961 תהיו Be H5676 לעבר side, H259 אחד on one H589 ואני and I H3129 ויונתן   H1121 בני my son H1961 נהיה will be H5676 לעבר side. H259 אחד on the other H559 ויאמרו said H5971 העם And the people H413 אל unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H2896 הטוב good H5869 בעיניך what seemeth H6213 עשׂה׃ Do

  41 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול Therefore Saul H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3051 הבה Give H8549 תמים a perfect H3920 וילכד were taken: H3129 יונתן   H7586 ושׁאול And Saul H5971 והעם but the people H3318 יצאו׃ escaped.

  42 H559 ויאמר said, H7586 שׁאול And Saul H5307 הפילו Cast H996 ביני between H996 ובין   H3129 יונתן   H1121 בני my son. H3920 וילכד was taken. H3129 יונתן׃  

  43 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול Then Saul H413 אל to H3129 יונתן   H5046 הגידה Tell H4100 לי מה me what H6213 עשׂיתה thou hast done. H5046 ויגד told H3129 לו יונתן   H559 ויאמר him, and said, H2938 טעם   H2938 טעמתי   H7097 בקצה with the end H4294 המטה of the rod H834 אשׁר that H3027 בידי in mine hand, H4592 מעט a little H1706 דבשׁ honey H2005 הנני   H4191 אמות׃ I must die.

  44 H559 ויאמר answered, H7586 שׁאול And Saul H3541 כה so H6213 יעשׂה do H430 אלהים God H3541 וכה also: H3254 יוסף and more H3588 כי for H4191 מות thou shalt surely die, H4191 תמות thou shalt surely die, H3129 יונתן׃  

  45 H559 ויאמר said H5971 העם And the people H413 אל unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H3129 היונתן   H4191 ימות die, H834 אשׁר who H6213 עשׂה hath wrought H3444 הישׁועה salvation H1419 הגדולה great H2063 הזאת this H3478 בישׂראל in Israel? H2486 חלילה God forbid: H2416 חי liveth, H3068 יהוה the LORD H518 אם there shall not H5307 יפל fall H8185 משׂערת one hair H7218 ראשׁו of his head H776 ארצה to the ground; H3588 כי for H5973 עם with H430 אלהים God H6213 עשׂה he hath wrought H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה this H6299 ויפדו rescued H5971 העם So the people H853 את   H3129 יונתן   H3808 ולא not. H4191 מת׃ that he died

  46 H5927 ויעל went up H7586 שׁאול Then Saul H310 מאחרי from following H6430 פלשׁתים the Philistines: H6430 ופלשׁתים and the Philistines H1980 הלכו went H4725 למקומם׃ to their own place.

  47 H7586 ושׁאול So Saul H3920 לכד took H4410 המלוכה the kingdom H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H3898 וילחם and fought H5439 סביב on every side, H3605 בכל against all H341 איביו his enemies H4124 במואב against Moab, H1121 ובבני and against the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H123 ובאדום and against Edom, H4428 ובמלכי and against the kings H6678 צובה of Zobah, H6430 ובפלשׁתים and against the Philistines: H3605 ובכל and whithersoever H834 אשׁר and whithersoever H6437 יפנה he turned H7561 ירשׁיע׃ himself, he vexed

  49 H1961 ויהיו were H1121 בני Now the sons H7586 שׁאול of Saul H3129 יונתן   H3440 וישׁוי and Ishui, H4444 ומלכי שׁוע and Melchi-shua: H8034 ושׁם and the names H8147 שׁתי of his two H1323 בנתיו daughters H8034 שׁם the name H1067 הבכירה of the firstborn H4764 מרב Merab, H8034 ושׁם and the name H6996 הקטנה of the younger H4324 מיכל׃ Michal:

  50 H8034 ושׁם And the name H802 אשׁת wife H7586 שׁאול of Saul's H293 אחינעם Ahinoam, H1323 בת the daughter H290 אחימעץ of Ahimaaz: H8034 ושׁם and the name H8269 שׂר of the captain H6635 צבאו of his host H74 אבינר Abner, H1121 בן the son H5369 נר of Ner, H1730 דוד uncle. H7586 שׁאול׃ Saul's

  51 H7027 וקישׁ And Kish H1 אבי the father H7586 שׁאול of Saul; H5369 ונר and Ner H1 אבי the father H74 אבנר of Abner H1121 בן the son H22 אביאל׃ of Abiel.

  52 H1961 ותהי And there was H4421 המלחמה war H2389 חזקה sore H5921 על against H6430 פלשׁתים the Philistines H3605 כל all H3117 ימי the days H7586 שׁאול of Saul: H7200 וראה saw H7586 שׁאול and when Saul H3605 כל any H376 אישׁ man, H1368 גבור strong H3605 וכל or any H1121 בן man, H2428 חיל valiant H622 ויאספהו he took H413 אליו׃ him unto

  1 H559 ויאמר also said H8050 שׁמואל Samuel H413 אל unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H853 אתי   H7971 שׁלח sent H3068 יהוה The LORD H4886 למשׁחך me to anoint H4428 למלך thee king H5921 על over H5971 עמו his people, H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H6258 ועתה now H8085 שׁמע therefore hearken H6963 לקול thou unto the voice H1697 דברי of the words H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

  4 H8085 וישׁמע   H7586 שׁאול And Saul H853 את   H5971 העם   H6485 ויפקדם and numbered H2923 בטלאים them in Telaim, H3967 מאתים two hundred H505 אלף thousand H7273 רגלי footmen, H6235 ועשׂרת and ten H505 אלפים thousand H853 את   H376 אישׁ men H3063 יהודה׃ of Judah.

  5 H935 ויבא came H7586 שׁאול And Saul H5704 עד to H5892 עיר a city H6002 עמלק of Amalek, H7378 וירב   H5158 בנחל׃ in the valley.

  6 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול And Saul H413 אל unto H7017 הקיני the Kenites, H1980 לכו Go, H5493 סרו depart, H3381 רדו get you down H8432 מתוך from among H6003 עמלקי the Amalekites. H6435 פן lest H622 אספך I destroy H5973 עמו you with H859 ואתה them: for ye H6213 עשׂיתה showed H2617 חסד kindness H5973 עם to H3605 כל all H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5927 בעלותם when they came up H4714 ממצרים   H5493 ויסר departed H7017 קיני So the Kenites H8432 מתוך from among H6002 עמלק׃ the Amalekites,

  7 H5221 ויך smote H7586 שׁאול And Saul H853 את   H6002 עמלק the Amalekites H2341 מחוילה   H935 בואך thou comest H7793 שׁור to Shur, H834 אשׁר that H5921 על over H6440 פני against H4714 מצרים׃ Egypt.

  9 H2550 ויחמל spared H7586 שׁאול But Saul H5971 והעם and the people H5921 על spared H90 אגג Agag, H5921 ועל   H4315 מיטב and the best H6629 הצאן of the sheep, H1241 והבקר and of the oxen, H4932 והמשׁנים and of the fatlings, H5921 ועל   H3733 הכרים and the lambs, H5921 ועל   H3605 כל and all H2896 הטוב good, H3808 ולא not H14 אבו and would H2763 החרימם utterly destroy H3605 וכל them: but every H4399 המלאכה thing H959 נמבזה   H4549 ונמס and refuse, H853 אתה   H2763 החרימו׃ that they destroyed utterly.

  11 H5162 נחמתי It repenteth me H3588 כי that H4427 המלכתי I have set up H853 את   H7586 שׁאול Saul H4428 למלך king: H3588 כי for H7725 שׁב he is turned back H310 מאחרי from following H853 ואת   H1697 דברי my commandments. H3808 לא me, and hath not H6965 הקים performed H2734 ויחר And it grieved H8050 לשׁמואל Samuel; H2199 ויזעק and he cried H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD H3605 כל all H3915 הלילה׃ night.

  12 H7925 וישׁכם rose early H8050 שׁמואל And when Samuel H7122 לקראת   H7586 שׁאול Saul H1242 בבקר in the morning, H5046 ויגד it was told H8050 לשׁמואל Samuel, H559 לאמר saying, H935 בא came H7586 שׁאול Saul H3760 הכרמלה to Carmel, H2009 והנה and, behold, H5324 מציב he set him up H3027 לו יד a place, H5437 ויסב and is gone about, H5674 ויעבר and passed on, H3381 וירד and gone down H1537 הגלגל׃ to Gilgal.

  13 H935 ויבא came H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H413 אל to H7586 שׁאול Saul: H559 ויאמר said H7586 לו שׁאול and Saul H1288 ברוך unto him, Blessed H859 אתה thou H3068 ליהוה of the LORD: H6965 הקימתי I have performed H853 את   H1697 דבר the commandment H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

  15 H559 ויאמר said, H7586 שׁאול And Saul H6003 מעמלקי   H935 הביאום They have brought H834 אשׁר for H2550 חמל spared H5971 העם the people H5921 על spared H4315 מיטב the best H6629 הצאן of the sheep H1241 והבקר and of the oxen, H4616 למען to sacrifice H2076 זבח to sacrifice H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God; H853 ואת   H3498 היותר and the rest H2763 החרמנו׃ we have utterly destroyed.

  16 H559 ויאמר said H8050 שׁמואל Then Samuel H413 אל unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H7503 הרף Stay, H5046 ואגידה and I will tell H853 לך את   H834 אשׁר thee what H1696 דבר hath said H3068 יהוה the LORD H413 אלי to H3915 הלילה me this night. H559 ויאמרו And he said H1696 לו דבר׃ unto him, Say on.

  20 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול And Saul H413 אל unto H8050 שׁמואל Samuel, H834 אשׁר Yea, H8085 שׁמעתי I have obeyed H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H1980 ואלך and have gone H1870 בדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H7971 שׁלחני sent H3068 יהוה the LORD H935 ואביא me, and have brought H853 את   H90 אגג Agag H4428 מלך the king H6002 עמלק of Amalek, H853 ואת   H6002 עמלק the Amalekites. H2763 החרמתי׃ and have utterly destroyed

  24 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול And Saul H413 אל unto H8050 שׁמואל Samuel, H2398 חטאתי I have sinned: H3588 כי for H5674 עברתי I have transgressed H853 את   H6310 פי the commandment H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H853 ואת   H1697 דבריך and thy words: H3588 כי because H3372 יראתי I feared H853 את   H5971 העם the people, H8085 ואשׁמע and obeyed H6963 בקולם׃ their voice.

  26 H559 ויאמר said H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H413 אל unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H3808 לא I will not H7725 אשׁוב return H5973 עמך with H3588 כי thee: for H3988 מאסתה thou hast rejected H853 את   H1697 דבר the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3988 וימאסך hath rejected H3068 יהוה and the LORD H1961 מהיות thee from being H4428 מלך king H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel.

  31 H7725 וישׁב turned again H8050 שׁמואל So Samuel H310 אחרי after H7586 שׁאול Saul; H7812 וישׁתחו worshiped H7586 שׁאול and Saul H3068 ליהוה׃ the LORD.
