  24 H935 ויבא came H53 אבשׁלום And Absalom H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H559 ויאמר and said, H2009 הנה Behold H4994 נא now, H1494 גזזים hath sheepshearers; H5650 לעבדך thy servant H1980 ילך go H4994 נא I beseech thee, H4428 המלך let the king, H5650 ועבדיו and his servants H5973 עם with H5650 עבדך׃ thy servant.

  25 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך And the king H413 אל to H53 אבשׁלום Absalom, H408 אל Nay, H1121 בני my son, H408 אל let us not H4994 נא now H1980 נלך go, H3605 כלנו all H3808 ולא lest H3513 נכבד we be chargeable H5921 עליך unto H6555 ויפרץ thee.   27 H6555 ויפרץ pressed H53 בו אבשׁלום But Absalom H7971 וישׁלח go H854 אתו with H853 את   H550 אמנון him, that he let Amnon H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H1121 בני sons H4428 המלך׃ the king's

  28 H6680 ויצו had commanded H53 אבשׁלום Now Absalom H853 את   H5288 נעריו his servants, H559 לאמר saying, H7200 ראו Mark H4994 נא ye now H2896 כטוב   H3820 לב heart H550 אמנון when Amnon's H3196 ביין with wine, H559 ואמרתי and when I say H413 אליכם unto H5221 הכו you, Smite H853 את   H550 אמנון Amnon; H4191 והמתם then kill H853 אתו   H408 אל not: H3372 תיראו him, fear H3808 הלוא have not H3588 כי   H595 אנכי I H6680 צויתי commanded H853 אתכם   H2388 חזקו you? be courageous, H1961 והיו and be H1121 לבני valiant.   29 H6213 ויעשׂו did H5288 נערי And the servants H53 אבשׁלום of Absalom H550 לאמנון unto Amnon H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוה had commanded. H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H6965 ויקמו arose, H3605 כל Then all H1121 בני sons H4428 המלך the king's H7392 וירכבו got him up H376 אישׁ and every man H5921 על upon H6505 פרדו his mule, H5127 וינסו׃ and fled.

  30 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H1992 המה while they H1870 בדרך were in the way, H8052 והשׁמעה that tidings H935 באה came H413 אל to H1732 דוד David, H559 לאמר saying, H5221 הכה hath slain H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H853 את   H3605 כל all H1121 בני sons, H4428 המלך the king's H3808 ולא and there is not H3498 נותר them left. H1992 מהם   H259 אחד׃ one

  32 H6030 ויען answered H3122 יונדב And Jonadab, H1121 בן the son H8093 שׁמעה of Shimeah H251 אחי brother, H1732 דוד David's H559 ויאמר and said, H408 אל Let not H559 יאמר suppose H113 אדני my lord H853 את   H3605 כל all H5288 הנערים the young men H1121 בני sons; H4428 המלך the king's H4191 המיתו they have slain H3588 כי for H550 אמנון Amnon H905 לבדו only H4191 מת is dead: H3588 כי for H5921 על by H6310 פי the appointment H53 אבשׁלום of Absalom H1961 היתה this hath been H7760 שׂומה determined H3117 מיום from the day H6031 ענתו that he forced H853 את   H8559 תמר Tamar.   34 H1272 ויברח fled. H53 אבשׁלום But Absalom H5375 וישׂא lifted up H5288 הנער And the young man H6822 הצפה that kept the watch H853 את   H5869 עינו his eyes, H7200 וירא and looked, H2009 והנה and, behold, H5971 עם people H7227 רב much H1980 הלכים there came H1870 מדרך by the way H310 אחריו behind H6654 מצד   H2022 ההר׃  

  37 H53 ואבשׁלום But Absalom H1272 ברח fled, H1980 וילך and went H413 אל to H8526 תלמי Talmai, H1121 בן the son H5991 עמיחור   H4428 מלך king H1650 גשׁור of Geshur. H56 ויתאבל And mourned H5921 על for H1121 בנו his son H3605 כל every H3117 הימים׃ day.

  38 H53 ואבשׁלום So Absalom H1272 ברח fled, H1980 וילך and went H1650 גשׁור to Geshur, H1961 ויהי and was H8033 שׁם there H7969 שׁלשׁ three H8141 שׁנים׃ years.

  39 H3615 ותכל longed H1732 דוד David H4428 המלך And king H3318 לצאת to go forth H413 אל unto H53 אבשׁלום Absalom: H3588 כי for H5162 נחם he was comforted H5921 על concerning H550 אמנון Amnon, H3588 כי seeing H4191 מת׃ he was dead.

  1 H3045 וידע perceived H3097 יואב Now Joab H1121 בן the son H6870 צריה of Zeruiah H3588 כי that H3820 לב heart H4428 המלך the king's H5921 על toward H53 אבשׁלום׃ Absalom.

  21 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך And the king H413 אל unto H3097 יואב Joab, H2009 הנה Behold H4994 נא now, H6213 עשׂיתי I have done H853 את   H1697 הדבר thing: H2088 הזה this H1980 ולך go H7725 השׁב therefore, bring H853 את   H5288 הנער the young man H853 את   H53 אבשׁלום׃ Absalom

  23 H6965 ויקם arose H3097 יואב So Joab H1980 וילך and went H1650 גשׁורה to Geshur, H935 ויבא and brought H853 את   H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H3389 ירושׁלם׃ to Jerusalem.

  24 H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And the king H5437 יסב Let him turn H413 אל to H1004 ביתו his own house, H6440 ופני my face. H3808 לא and let him not H7200 יראה see H5437 ויסב returned H53 אבשׁלום So Absalom H413 אל to H1004 ביתו his own house, H6440 ופני face. H4428 המלך the king's H3808 לא not H7200 ראה׃ and saw

  25 H53 וכאבשׁלום as Absalom H3808 לא none H1961 היה there was H376 אישׁ none H3303 יפה for his beauty: H3605 בכל But in all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H1984 להלל praised H3966 מאד to be so much H3709 מכף from the sole H7272 רגלו of his foot H5704 ועד even to H6936 קדקדו the crown of his head H3808 לא no H1961 היה there was H3971 בו מום׃ blemish

  27 H3205 ויולדו there were born H53 לאבשׁלום And unto Absalom H7969 שׁלושׁה three H1121 בנים sons, H1323 ובת daughter, H259 אחת and one H8034 ושׁמה whose name H8559 תמר Tamar: H1931 היא she H1961 היתה was H802 אשׁה a woman H3303 יפת of a fair H4758 מראה׃ countenance.

  28 H3427 וישׁב dwelt H53 אבשׁלום So Absalom H3389 בירושׁלם in Jerusalem, H8141 שׁנתים two full years H3117 ימים two full years H6440 ופני face. H4428 המלך the king's H3808 לא not H7200 ראה׃ and saw

  29 H7971 וישׁלח sent H53 אבשׁלום Therefore Absalom H413 אל for H3097 יואב Joab, H7971 לשׁלח to have sent H853 אתו   H413 אל him to H4428 המלך the king; H3808 ולא not H14 אבה but he would H935 לבוא come H413 אליו to H7971 וישׁלח him: and when he sent H5750 עוד again H8145 שׁנית the second time, H3808 ולא not H14 אבה he would H935 לבוא׃ come.

  30 H559 ויאמר Therefore he said H413 אל unto H5650 עבדיו his servants, H7200 ראו See, H2513 חלקת field H3097 יואב Joab's H413 אל is near H3027 ידי mine, H8033 ולו שׁם there; H8184 שׂערים and he hath barley H1980 לכו go H3341 והוצתיה and set H784 באשׁ it on fire. H3341 ויצתו set H5650 עבדי servants H53 אבשׁלום And Absalom's H853 את   H2513 החלקה the field H784 באשׁ׃ on fire.

  31 H6965 ויקם arose, H3097 יואב Then Joab H935 ויבא and came H413 אל to H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H1004 הביתה unto house, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אליו unto H4100 למה him, Wherefore H3341 הציתו set H5650 עבדך have thy servants H853 את   H2513 החלקה my field H834 אשׁר   H784 לי באשׁ׃ on fire?

  32 H559 ויאמר answered H53 אבשׁלום And Absalom H413 אל answered H3097 יואב Joab, H2009 הנה Behold, H7971 שׁלחתי I sent H413 אליך unto H559 לאמר thee, saying, H935 בא Come H2008 הנה hither, H7971 ואשׁלחה that I may send H853 אתך   H413 אל thee to H4428 המלך the king, H559 לאמר to say, H4100 למה Wherefore H935 באתי come H1650 מגשׁור   H2896 טוב good H5750 לי עד still: H589 אני am I H8033 שׁם for me there H6258 ועתה now H7200 אראה therefore let me see H6440 פני face; H4428 המלך the king's H518 ואם and if H3426 ישׁ there be H5771 בי עון iniquity H4191 והמתני׃ in me, let him kill

  33 H935 ויבא came H3097 יואב So Joab H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H5046 ויגד and told H7121 לו ויקרא him: and when he had called H413 אל for H53 אבשׁלום Absalom, H935 ויבא he came H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H7812 וישׁתחו and bowed H5921 לו על himself on H639 אפיו his face H776 ארצה to the ground H6440 לפני before H4428 המלך the king: H5401 וישׁק kissed H4428 המלך and the king H53 לאבשׁלום׃ Absalom.
