27 H929 Only the cattle H7998 and the spoil H5892 of that city H3478 Israel H962 [H8804] took for a prey H1697 to themselves, according to the word H3068 of the LORD H6680 [H8765] which he commanded H3091 Joshua.

28 H3091 And Joshua H8313 [H8799] burnt H5857 Ai, H7760 [H8799] and made H8510 it an heap H5769 to the age, H8077 even a desolation H3117 to this day.

29 H4428 And the king H5857 of Ai H8518 [H8804] he hanged H6086 on a tree H6256 H6153 until evening: H8121 and as soon as the sun H935 [H8800] was down, H3091 Joshua H6680 [H8765] commanded H3381 0 that they should take H5038 his body H3381 [H8686] down H6086 from the tree, H7993 [H8686] and cast H6607 it at the entrance H8179 of the gate H5892 of the city, H6965 [H8686] and raise H1419 over it a great H1530 heap H68 of stones, H3117 that remaineth to this day.
