Joshua 23:1-24 And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest to Israel from all their enemies on all sides, that Joshua became old and advanced in years.

1 H7227 And it came to pass a long H3117 time H310 after H3068 that the LORD H5117 [H8689] had given rest H3478 to Israel H341 [H8802] from all their enemies H5439 on all sides, H3091 that Joshua H2204 [H8804] became old H935 [H8804] and advanced H3117 in years.

2 H3091 And Joshua H7121 [H8799] called H3478 for all Israel, H2205 and for their elders, H7218 and for their heads, H8199 [H8802] and for their judges, H7860 [H8802] and for their officers, H559 [H8799] and said H2204 [H8804] to them, I am old H935 [H8804] and advanced H3117 in years:

3 H7200 [H8804] And ye have seen H3068 all that the LORD H430 your God H6213 [H8804] hath done H1471 to all these nations H6440 because H3068 of you; for the LORD H430 your God H3898 [H8737] is he that hath fought for you.

4 H7200 [H8798] Behold, H5307 [H8689] I have divided H1471 to you by lot these nations H7604 [H8737] that remain, H5159 to be an inheritance H7626 for your tribes, H3383 from Jordan, H1471 with all the nations H3772 [H8689] that I have cut off, H1419 even to the great H3220 sea H3996 H8121 westward.

5 H3068 And the LORD H430 your God, H1920 [H8799] he shall drive them out H6440 from the face of H3423 [H8689] you, and drive H6440 them from your sight; H3423 [H8804] and ye shall possess H776 their land, H3068 as the LORD H430 your God H1696 [H8765] hath promised to you.

6 H3966 Be ye therefore very H2388 [H8804] courageous H8104 [H8800] to keep H6213 [H8800] and to do H3789 [H8803] all that is written H5612 in the book H8451 of the law H4872 of Moses, H5493 [H8800] that ye turn H3225 not aside from it to the right hand H8040 or to the left;

7 H935 [H8800] That ye come H1471 not among these nations, H7604 [H8737] these that remain H2142 [H8686] among you; neither make mention H8034 of the name H430 of their gods, H7650 [H8686] nor cause to swear H5647 [H8799] by them, neither serve H7812 [H8691] them, nor bow yourselves to them:

8 H1692 [H8799] But hold fast H3068 to the LORD H430 your God, H6213 [H8804] as ye have done H3117 to this day.

9 H3068 For the LORD H3423 [H8686] hath driven out H6440 from the face of H1419 you great H1471 nations H6099 and strong: H376 but as for you, no man H5975 [H8804] hath been able to stand H6440 at the face of H3117 you to this day.

10 H259 One H376 man H7291 [H8799] of you shall chase H505 a thousand: H3068 for the LORD H430 your God, H3898 [H8737] he it is that fighteth H1696 [H8765] for you, as he hath promised you.

11 H3966 Take good H8104 [H8738] heed H5315 therefore to yourselves, H157 [H8800] that ye love H3068 the LORD H430 your God.

12 H7725 [H8800] Else if ye do in any way H7725 [H8799] go back, H1692 [H8804] and cleave unto H3499 the remnant H1471 of these nations, H7604 [H8737] even these that remain H2859 [H8694] among you, and shall make marriages H935 [H8804] with them, and associate with them, and they with you:

13 H3045 [H8799] Know H3045 [H8800] for a certainty H3068 that the LORD H430 your God H3254 [H8686] will no more H3423 [H8687] drive out H1471 any of these nations H6440 from the face of H6341 you; but they shall be snares H4170 and traps H7850 to you, and scourges H6654 in your sides, H6796 and thorns H5869 in your eyes, H6 [H8800] until ye perish H2896 from off this good H127 soil H3068 which the LORD H430 your God H5414 [H8804] hath given you.

14 H3117 And, behold, this day H1980 [H8802] I am going H1870 the way H776 of all the earth: H3045 [H8804] and ye know H3824 in all your hearts H5315 and in all your breaths, H259 that not one H1697 thing H5307 [H8804] hath failed H2896 of all the good H1697 things H3068 which the LORD H430 your God H1696 [H8765] spoke H935 [H8804] concerning you; all are come to pass H259 to you, and not one H1697 thing H5307 [H8804] hath failed of it.

15 H2896 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good H1697 things H935 [H8804] are come H3068 upon you, which the LORD H430 your God H1696 [H8765] promised H3068 you; so shall the LORD H935 [H8686] bring H7451 upon you all evil H1697 things, H8045 [H8687] until he hath desolated H2896 you from off this good H127 soil H3068 which the LORD H430 your God H5414 [H8804] hath given you.

16 H5674 [H8800] When ye have transgressed H1285 the covenant H3068 of the LORD H430 your God, H6680 [H8765] which he commanded H1980 [H8804] you, and have gone H5647 [H8804] and served H312 other H430 gods, H7812 [H8694] and bowed H639 yourselves to them; then shall the anger H3068 of the LORD H2734 [H8804] be kindled H6 [H8804] against you, and ye shall perish H4120 quickly H2896 from off the good H776 land H5414 [H8804] which he hath given to you.
