Amos 9 I saw the Sovereign standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

1 H7200 [H8804] I saw H136 the Sovereign H5324 [H8737] standing H4196 upon the altar: H559 [H8799] and he said, H5221 [H8685] Smite H3730 the lintel of the door, H5592 that the posts H7493 [H8799] may shake: H1214 [H8798] and cut H7218 them in the head, H2026 [H8799] all of them; and I will slay H319 the last H2719 of them with the sword: H5127 [H8801] he that fleeth H5127 [H8799] of them shall not flee away, H6412 and he that escapeth H4422 [H8735] of them shall not be delivered.

2 H2864 [H8799] Though they dig H7585 into the grave, H3027 from there shall my hand H3947 [H8799] take H5927 [H8799] them; though they climb up H8064 to heaven, H3381 [H8686] from there will I bring them down:

3 H2244 [H8735] And though they hide H7218 themselves in the top H3760 of Carmel, H2664 [H8762] I will search H3947 [H8804] and take them out H5641 [H8735] from there; and though they are hid H5869 from my eyes H7172 in the bottom H3220 of the sea, H6680 [H8762] from there will I command H5175 the serpent, H5391 [H8804] and he shall bite them:

5 H136 And the Sovereign H3069 LORD H6635 of hosts H5060 [H8802] is he that toucheth H776 the land, H4127 [H8799] and it shall melt, H3427 [H8802] and all that dwell H56 [H8804] in it shall mourn: H5927 [H8804] and it shall rise up H2975 wholly like a river; H8257 [H8804] and shall be drowned, H2975 as by the river H4714 of Egypt.

6 H1129 [H8802] It is he that buildeth H4609 his chambers H8064 in the heaven, H3245 [H8804] and hath founded H92 his troop H776 in the earth; H7121 [H8802] he that calleth H4325 for the waters H3220 of the sea, H8210 [H8799] and poureth them out H6440 upon the face H776 of the earth: H3068 The LORD H8034 is his name.

7 H1121 Are ye not as sons H3569 of the Cushites H1121 to me, O sons H3478 of Israel? H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD. H5927 [H8689] Have not I brought up H3478 Israel H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt? H6430 and the Philistines H3731 from Caphtor, H758 and the Syrians H7024 from Kir?

8 H5869 Behold, the eyes H136 of the Sovereign H3069 LORD H2403 are upon the sinful H4467 kingdom, H8045 [H8689] and I will desolate H6440 it from off the face H127 of the soil; H657 except H8045 [H8687] that I will not utterly H8045 [H8686] desolate H1004 the house H3290 of Jacob, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD.

9 H6680 [H8764] For, lo, I will command, H5128 [H8689] and I will sift H1004 the house H3478 of Israel H1471 among all nations, H5128 [H8735] like as grain is sifted H3531 in a sieve, H6872 yet shall not the smallest grain H5307 [H8799] fall H776 upon the earth.

10 H2400 All the sinners H5971 of my people H4191 [H8799] shall die H2719 by the sword, H559 [H8802] who say, H7451 The evil H5066 [H8686] shall not overtake H6923 [H8686] nor fall upon us.

11 H3117 In that day H6965 [H8686] will I raise up H5521 the booth H1732 of David H5307 [H8802] that is fallen, H1443 [H8804] and close up H6556 its breaches; H6965 [H8686] and I will raise up H2034 its demolitions, H1129 [H8804] and I will build H3117 it as in the days H5769 of old:

12 H3423 [H8799] That they may possess H7611 the remnant H123 of Edom, H1471 and of all the nations, H7121 [H8738] who are called H8034 by my name, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD H6213 [H8802] that doeth this.

13 H3117 Behold, the days H935 [H8802] come, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD, H2790 [H8802] that the plowman H5066 [H8738] shall overtake H7114 [H8802] the reaper, H1869 [H8802] and the treader H6025 of grapes H4900 [H8802] him that soweth H2233 seed; H2022 and the mountains H5197 [H8689] shall drop H6071 sweet wine, H1389 and all the hills H4127 [H8709] shall melt.

14 H7725 [H8804] And I will bring again H7622 the captivity H5971 of my people H3478 of Israel, H1129 [H8804] and they shall build H8074 [H8737] the waste H5892 cities, H3427 [H8804] and inhabit H5193 [H8804] them; and they shall plant H3754 vineyards, H8354 [H8804] and drink H3196 the wine H6213 [H8804] of them; they shall also make H1593 gardens, H398 [H8804] and eat H6529 the fruit of them.

15 H5193 [H8804] And I will plant H127 them upon their soil, H5428 [H8735] and they shall no more be plucked up H127 out of their soil H5414 [H8804] which I have given H559 [H8804] them, saith H3068 the LORD H430 thy God.
