6 G1223 Through G3739 which G3588 the G2889 world G5119 that then was, G2626 [G5685] being overflowed G5204 with water, G622 [G5639] was made lost:

7 G1161 But G3588 the G3568 present G3772 heavens G2532 and G3588 the G1093 earth G846 by the same G3056 word G1526 [G5748] are G2343 [G5772] kept in store, G5083 [G5746] reserved G4442 to fire G1519 unto G2250 the day G2920 of judgment G2532 and G684 loss G3588 G765 of irreverent G444 men.

8 G1161 But, G27 beloved, G3361 G5209 let it not G2990 0 escape G5209 your G2990 [G5720] notice G1520 of this one G5124 thing, G3754 that G3391 one G2250 day G3844 with G2962 the Lord G5613 is as G5507 a thousand G2094 years, G2532 and G5507 a thousand G2094 years G5613 as G3391 one G2250 day.

9 G2962 The Lord G1019 0 is G3756 not G1019 [G5719] slack G1860 concerning his promise, G5613 as G5100 some men G2233 [G5736] count G1022 slowness; G235 but G3114 [G5719] is longsuffering G1519 toward G2248 us, G3361 not G1014 [G5740] willing G5100 that any G622 [G5641] should be made lost, G235 but G3956 that all G5562 [G5658] should come G1519 to G3341 a change of mind.

10 G1161 But G2250 the day G2962 of the Lord G2240 [G5692] will come G5613 as G2812 a thief G1722 in G3571 the night; G1722 in G3739 which G3772 the heavens G3928 [G5695] shall pass away G4500 with a rushing sound, G1161 and G4747 the elements G3089 [G5701] shall melt G2741 [G5746] with fervent heat, G1093 the earth G2532 also G2532 and G2041 the works G1722 that are in G846 it G2618 [G5691] shall be burned up.

11 G3767 Seeing then G3956 that all G5130 these things G3089 [G5746] shall be dissolved, G4217 what manner G1163 [G5748] of persons ought G5209 ye G5225 [G5721] to be G1722 in G40 all holy G391 behaviour G2532 and G2150 piety,

13 G1161 Nevertheless G4328 0 we, G2596 according to G846 his G1862 promise, G4328 [G5719] look for G2537 new G3772 heavens G2532 and G2537 a new G1093 earth, G1722 in G3739 which G2730 [G5719] dwelleth G1343 righteousness.

14 G1352 Therefore, G27 beloved, G4328 [G5723] seeing that ye look for G5023 such things, G4704 [G5657] hurry G2147 [G5683] that ye may be found G846 by him G1722 in G1515 peace, G784 without spot, G2532 and G298 blameless.

17 G5210 Ye G3767 therefore, G27 beloved, G4267 [G5723] seeing ye know these things before, G5442 [G5732] beware G3363 lest G1601 0 ye also, G4879 [G5685] being led away with G3588 the G4106 delusion G113 of the unprincipled, G1601 [G5632] fall out of G2398 your own G4740 steadfastness.
