2 Chronicles 7 Now when Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

1 H8010 Now when Solomon H3615 [H8763] had finished H6419 [H8692] praying, H784 the fire H3381 [H8804] came down H8064 from heaven, H398 [H8799] and consumed H5930 the burnt offering H2077 and the sacrifices; H3519 and the glory H3068 of the LORD H4390 [H8804] filled H1004 the house.

2 H3548 And the priests H3201 [H8804] could H935 [H8800] not enter H1004 into the house H3068 of the LORD, H3519 because the glory H3068 of the LORD H4390 [H8804] had filled H3068 the LORD'S H1004 house.

3 H1121 And when all the sons H3478 of Israel H7200 [H8802] saw H784 how the fire H3381 [H8800] came down, H3519 and the glory H3068 of the LORD H1004 upon the house, H3766 [H8799] they bowed H639 themselves with their noses H776 to the earth H7531 upon the pavement, H7812 [H8691] and worshipped, H3034 [H8687] and praised H3068 the LORD, H2896 saying, For he is good; H2617 for his mercy H5769 endureth to the age.

4 H4428 Then the king H5971 and all the people H2076 [H8802] offered H2077 sacrifices H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD.

5 H4428 And king H8010 Solomon H2076 [H8799] offered H2077 a sacrifice H6242 of twenty H8147 and two H505 thousand H1241 oxen, H3967 and an hundred H6242 and twenty H505 thousand H6629 sheep: H4428 so the king H5971 and all the people H2596 [H8799] dedicated H1004 the house H430 of God.

6 H3548 And the priests H5975 [H8802] stood H4931 at their posts: H3881 the Levites H3627 also with instruments H7892 of music H3068 of the LORD, H1732 which David H4428 the king H6213 [H8804] had made H3034 [H8687] to praise H3068 the LORD, H2617 because his mercy H5769 endureth to the age, H1732 when David H1984 [H8763] praised H3027 by their hand; H3548 and the priests H2690 H2690 [H8688] sounded trumpets H3478 before them, and all Israel H5975 [H8802] stood.

7 H8010 Moreover Solomon H6942 [H8762] hallowed H8432 the middle H2691 of the court H6440 that was at the face of H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD: H6213 [H8804] for there he offered H5930 burnt offerings, H2459 and the fat H8002 of the peace offerings, H5178 because the brasen H4196 altar H8010 which Solomon H6213 [H8804] had made H3201 [H8804] was not able H3557 [H8687] to receive H5930 the burnt offerings, H4503 and the meat offerings, H2459 and the fat.

8 H6256 Also at the same time H8010 Solomon H6213 [H8799] kept H2282 the feast H7651 seven H3117 days, H3478 and all Israel H3966 with him, a very H1419 great H6951 congregation, H935 [H8800] from the entrance H2574 of Hamath H5158 to the river H4714 of Egypt.

9 H8066 And on the eighth H3117 day H6213 [H8799] they made H6116 a solemn assembly: H6213 [H8804] for they kept H2598 the dedication H4196 of the altar H7651 seven H3117 days, H2282 and the feast H7651 seven H3117 days.

10 H7969 And on the three H6242 and twentieth H3117 day H7637 of the seventh H2320 month H7971 0 he sent H5971 the people H7971 [H8765] away H168 to their tents, H8056 glad H2896 and merry H3820 in heart H2896 for the goodness H3068 that the LORD H6213 [H8804] had shown H1732 to David, H8010 and to Solomon, H3478 and to Israel H5971 his people.

11 H8010 Thus Solomon H3615 [H8762] finished H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD, H4428 and the king's H1004 house: H935 [H8802] and all that came H8010 into Solomon's H3820 heart H6213 [H8800] to make H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD, H1004 and in his own house, H6743 [H8689] he prosperously effected.

12 H3068 And the LORD H7200 [H8735] appeared H8010 to Solomon H3915 by night, H559 [H8799] and said H8085 [H8804] to him, I have heard H8605 thy prayer, H977 [H8804] and have chosen H4725 this place H1004 to myself for an house H2077 of sacrifice.

13 H2005 If H6113 [H8799] I shut up H8064 heaven H4306 that there be no rain, H6680 [H8762] or if I command H2284 the locusts H398 [H8800] to devour H776 the land, H7971 [H8762] or if I send H1698 pestilence H5971 among my people;

14 H5971 If my people, H7121 [H8738] who are called H8034 by my name, H3665 [H8735] shall humble H6419 [H8691] themselves, and pray, H1245 [H8762] and seek H6440 my face, H7725 [H8799] and turn H7451 from their wicked H1870 ways; H8085 [H8799] then will I hear H8064 from heaven, H5545 [H8799] and will forgive H2403 their sin, H7495 [H8799] and will heal H776 their land.

15 H5869 Now my eyes H6605 [H8803] shall be open, H241 and my ears H7183 attentive H8605 to the prayer H4725 that is made in this place.

16 H977 [H8804] For now have I chosen H6942 [H8689] and sanctified H1004 this house, H8034 that my name H5704 may be there for H5769 ever: H5869 and my eyes H3820 and my heart H3117 shall be there perpetually.

17 H3212 [H8799] And as for thee, if thou wilt walk H6440 at the face of H1732 me, as David H1 thy father H1980 [H8804] walked, H6213 [H8800] and do H6680 [H8765] according to all that I have commanded H8104 [H8799] thee, and shalt observe H2706 my statutes H4941 and my judgments;

18 H6965 [H8689] Then will I raise H3678 the throne H4438 of thy kingdom, H3772 [H8804] according as I have covenanted H1732 with David H1 thy father, H559 [H8800] saying, H3772 [H8735] There shall not fail H376 thee a man H4910 [H8802] to be ruler H3478 in Israel.

19 H7725 [H8799] But if ye turn away, H5800 [H8804] and forsake H2708 my statutes H4687 and my commandments, H5414 [H8804] which I have set H6440 at the face of H1980 [H8804] you, and shall go H5647 [H8804] and serve H312 other H430 gods, H7812 [H8694] and worship them;

20 H5428 [H8804] Then will I pluck them up by the roots H127 out of my soil H5414 [H8804] which I have given H1004 them; and this house, H6942 [H8689] which I have sanctified H8034 for my name, H7993 [H8686] will I cast out H6440 of my sight, H5414 [H8799] and will make H4912 it to be a proverb H8148 and a byword H5971 among all peoples.

21 H1004 And this house, H5945 which is high, H8074 [H8799] shall be an astonishment H5674 [H8802] to every one that passeth H559 [H8804] by it; so that he shall say, H3068 Why hath the LORD H6213 [H8804] done H776 thus to this land, H1004 and to this house?

22 H559 [H8804] And it shall be answered, H5800 [H8804] Because they forsook H3068 the LORD H430 God H1 of their fathers, H3318 [H8689] who brought them H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H2388 [H8686] and laid hold H312 on other H430 gods, H7812 [H8691] and worshipped H5647 [H8799] them, and served H935 [H8689] them: therefore hath he brought H7451 all this evil upon them.
