2 Chronicles 16:1-10 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

1 H8337 In the six H7970 and thirtieth H8141 year H4438 of the reign H609 of Asa H1201 Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel H5927 [H8804] came H3063 against Judah, H1129 [H8799] and built H7414 Ramah, H1115 to the intent that H5414 [H8800] he might let H3318 [H8802] none go out H935 [H8802] or come in H609 to Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah.

2 H609 Then Asa H3318 [H8686] brought H3701 silver H2091 and gold H214 out of the treasuries H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H4428 and of the king's H1004 house, H7971 [H8799] and sent H1130 to Benhadad H4428 king H758 of Syria, H3427 [H8802] that dwelt H1834 at Damascus, H559 [H8800] saying,

3 H1285 There is a league H1 between me and thee, as there was between my father H1 and thy father: H7971 [H8804] behold, I have sent H3701 thee silver H2091 and gold; H3212 [H8798] go, H6565 [H8685] break H1285 thy league H1201 with Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel, H5927 [H8799] that he may depart from me.

4 H1130 And Benhadad H8085 [H8799] hearkened H4428 to king H609 Asa, H7971 [H8799] and sent H8269 the captains H2428 of his armies H5892 against the cities H3478 of Israel; H5221 [H8686] and they smote H5859 Ijon, H1835 and Dan, H66 and Abelmaim, H4543 and all the store H5892 cities H5321 of Naphtali.

5 H1201 And it came to pass, when Baasha H8085 [H8800] heard H2308 [H8799] it, that he stopped H1129 [H8800] building H7414 of Ramah, H4399 and let his work H7673 [H8686] cease.

6 H609 Then Asa H4428 the king H3947 [H8804] took H3063 all Judah; H5375 [H8799] and they carried away H68 the stones H7414 of Ramah, H6086 and the timber H1201 of it, with which Baasha H1129 [H8804] was building; H1129 [H8799] and he built H1387 with it Geba H4709 and Mizpah.

7 H6256 And at that time H2607 Hanani H7200 [H8802] the seer H935 [H8804] came H609 to Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H559 [H8799] and said H8172 [H8736] to him, Because thou hast relied H4428 on the king H758 of Syria, H8172 [H8738] and not relied H3068 on the LORD H430 thy God, H2428 therefore hath the host H4428 of the king H758 of Syria H4422 [H8738] escaped H3027 out of thine hand.

8 H3569 Were not the Cushites H3864 and the Lubims H7230 an abundant H2428 army, H3966 with very H7235 [H8687] many H7393 chariots H6571 and horsemen? H8172 [H8736] yet, because thou didst rely H3068 on the LORD, H5414 [H8804] he gave H3027 them into thine hand.

9 H5869 For the eyes H3068 of the LORD H7751 [H8789] run to and fro H776 throughout the whole earth, H2388 [H8692] to show himself strong H3824 in the behalf of them whose heart H8003 is perfect H5528 [H8738] toward him. In this thou hast done foolishly: H6258 therefore from henceforth H3426 thou shalt have H4421 wars.

10 H609 Then Asa H3707 [H8799] was angry H7200 [H8802] with the seer, H5414 [H8799] and put H4115 him in a prison H1004 house; H2197 for he was in a rage H609 with him because of this thing. And Asa H7533 [H8762] oppressed H5971 some of the people H6256 the same time.
