10 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H5576 Sennacherib H4428 king H804 of Assyria, H982 [H8802] On what do ye trust, H3427 [H8802] that ye abide H4692 in the siege H3389 in Jerusalem?

11 H3169 Doth not Hezekiah H5496 [H8688] persuade H5414 [H8800] you to give H4191 [H8800] over yourselves to die H7458 by famine H6772 and by thirst, H559 [H8800] saying, H3068 The LORD H430 our God H5337 [H8686] shall deliver H3709 us out of the palm H4428 of the king H804 of Assyria?

12 H3169 Hath not the same Hezekiah H5493 [H8689] taken away H1116 his high places H4196 and his altars, H559 [H8799] and commanded H3063 Judah H3389 and Jerusalem, H559 [H8800] saying, H7812 [H8691] Ye shall worship H6440 at the face of H259 one H4196 altar, H6999 [H8686] and burn incense upon it?

14 H430 Who was there among all the gods H1471 of those nations H1 that my fathers H2763 [H8689] utterly secluded, H3201 [H8804] that could H5337 [H8687] deliver H5971 his people H3027 out of my hand, H430 that your God H3201 [H8799] should be able H5337 [H8687] to deliver H3027 you out of my hand?

15 H3808 Now therefore let not H2396 Hezekiah H5377 [H8686] deceive H5496 [H8686] you, nor persuade H539 [H8686] you in this manner, neither yet believe H433 him: for no god H1471 of any nation H4467 or kingdom H3201 [H8799] hath been able H5337 [H8687] to deliver H5971 his people H3027 out of my hand, H3027 and out of the hand H1 of my fathers: H430 how much less shall your God H5337 [H8686] deliver H3027 you out of my hand?

16 H5650 And his servants H1696 [H8765] spoke H3068 yet more against the LORD H430 God, H5650 and against his servant H3169 Hezekiah.

18 H7121 [H8799] Then they called H1419 with a loud H6963 voice H3066 in the Judean's speech H5971 to the people H3389 of Jerusalem H2346 that were on the wall, H3372 [H8763] to make them afraid, H926 [H8763] and to trouble H3920 [H8799] them; that they might take H5892 the city.

19 H1696 [H8762] And they spoke H5921 against H430 the God H3389 of Jerusalem, H430 as against the gods H5971 of the people H776 of the earth, H4639 the work H3027 of the hands H120 of man.

20 H3169 And for this cause Hezekiah H4428 the king, H5030 and the prophet H3470 Isaiah H1121 the son H531 of Amoz, H6419 [H8691] prayed H2199 [H8799] and cried H8064 to heaven.

22 H3068 Thus the LORD H3467 [H8686] liberated H3169 Hezekiah H3427 [H8802] and the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem H3027 from the hand H5576 of Sennacherib H4428 the king H804 of Assyria, H3027 and from the hand H5095 [H8762] of all others, and guided H5439 them on every side.

23 H7227 And many H935 [H8688] brought H4503 gifts H3068 to the LORD H3389 to Jerusalem, H4030 and presents H3169 to Hezekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah: H310 so that from then on H5375 [H8735] he was magnified H5869 in the eyes H1471 of all nations.

Isaiah 7:17-25

17 H3068 The LORD H935 [H8686] shall bring H5971 upon thee, and upon thy people, H1 and upon thy father's H1004 house, H3117 days H935 [H8804] that have not come, H3117 from the day H669 that Ephraim H5493 [H8800] departed H3063 from Judah; H4428 even the king H804 of Assyria.

21 H3117 And it shall come to pass in that day, H376 that a man H2421 [H8762] shall nourish H1241 a young H5697 cow, H8147 and two H6629 sheep;

22 H7230 And it shall come to pass, for the abundance H2461 of milk H6213 [H8800] that they shall give H398 [H8799] he shall eat H2529 butter: H2529 for butter H1706 and honey H398 [H8799] shall every one eat H3498 [H8737] that is left H7130 in H776 the land.

23 H3117 And it shall come to pass in that day, H4725 that every place H505 shall be, where there were a thousand H1612 vines H505 worth a thousand H3701 pieces of silver, H8068 it shall even be for briers H7898 and thorns.

24 H2671 With arrows H7198 and with bows H935 [H8799] shall men come H776 there; because all the land H8068 shall become briers H7898 and thorns.

25 H2022 And on all mountains H5737 [H8735] that shall be dug H4576 with the mattock, H935 [H8799] there shall not come there H3374 the fear H8068 of briers H7898 and thorns: H4916 but it shall be for the sending forth H7794 of oxen, H4823 and for the treading H7716 of lesser cattle.

H5975 [H8799] And he stood H8585 by the conduit H5945 of the upper H1295 pool H4546 in the highway H3526 [H8801] of the fuller's H7704 field.

5 H559 [H8804] I say, H8193 sayest thou, (but they are but vain H1697 words) H6098 I have counsel H1369 and strength H4421 for war: H982 [H8804] now on whom dost thou trust, H4775 [H8804] that thou rebellest against me?

6 H982 [H8804] Lo, thou trustest H4938 in the staff H7533 [H8803] of this broken H7070 reed, H4714 on Egypt; H376 on which if a man H5564 [H8735] lean, H935 [H8804] it will enter H3709 his palm, H5344 [H8804] and puncture H6547 it: so is Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H982 [H8802] to all that trust in him.

11 H559 [H8799] Then said H471 Eliakim H7644 and Shebna H3098 and Joah H7262 to Rabshakeh, H1696 [H8761] Speak, H5650 I pray thee, to thy servants H762 in the Syrian language; H8085 [H8802] for we hear H1696 [H8762] it: and speak H3066 not to us in the Judean's language, H241 in the ears H5971 of the people H2346 that are on the wall.

13 H7262 Then Rabshakeh H5975 [H8799] stood, H7121 [H8799] and called H1419 with a loud H6963 voice H3066 in the Judean's language, H559 [H8799] and said, H8085 [H8798] Hear H1697 ye the words H1419 of the great H4428 king, H4428 the king H804 of Assyria.

14 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H4428 the king, H2396 Let not Hezekiah H5377 [H8686] deceive H3201 [H8799] you: for he shall not be able H5337 [H8687] to deliver you.

15 H2396 Neither let Hezekiah H982 [H8686] make you trust H3068 in the LORD, H559 [H8800] saying, H3068 The LORD H5337 [H8687] will surely H5337 [H8686] deliver H5892 us: this city H5414 [H8735] shall not be given H3027 into the hand H4428 of the king H804 of Assyria.

19 H430 Where are the gods H2574 of Hamath H774 and Arphad? H430 where are the gods H5617 of Sepharvaim? H5337 [H8689] and have they delivered H8111 Samaria H3027 out of my hand?

20 H430 Who are they among all the gods H776 of these lands, H5337 [H8689] that have delivered H776 their land H3027 out of my hand, H3068 that the LORD H5337 [H8686] should deliver H3389 Jerusalem H3027 out of my hand?

21 H2790 [H8686] But they held their peace, H6030 [H8804] and answered H1697 him not a word: H4428 for the king's H4687 commandment H559 [H8800] was, saying, H6030 [H8799] Answer him not.

Hosea 12:1-2
