⁴ and forgive us our sins, for also we ourselves forgive every one indebted to us; and mayest Thou not bring us into temptation; but do Thou deliver us from the evil.'

¹¹ For Thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Thou hast pardoned mine iniquity, for it is great.

¹ By David. —An Instruction. O the happiness of him whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. ² O the happiness of a man, To whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. ³ When I have kept silence, become old have my bones, Through my roaring all the day. ⁴ When by day and by night Thy hand is heavy upon me, My moisture hath been changed Into the droughts of summer. Selah. ⁵ My sin I cause Thee to know, And mine iniquity I have not covered. I have said, `I confess concerning My transgressions to Jehovah,' And Thou—Thou hast taken away, The iniquity of my sin. ¹ To the Overseer. —A Psalm of David, in the coming in unto him of Nathan the prophet, when he hath gone in unto Bath-Sheba. Favour me, O God, according to Thy kindness, According to the abundance of Thy mercies, Blot out my transgressions. ² Thoroughly wash me from mine iniquity, And from my sin cleanse me, ³ For my transgressions I do know, And my sin is before me continually.

⁷ Jehovah preserveth thee from all evil, He doth preserve thy soul.

³ If iniquities Thou dost observe, O Lord, who doth stand? ⁴ But with Thee is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

²⁵ I—I am He who is blotting out Thy transgressions for Mine own sake, And thy sins I do not remember. ²⁶ Cause me to remember—we are judged together, Declare thou that thou mayest be justified.

¹⁹ O lord, hear, O Lord, forgive; O Lord, attend and do; do not delay, for Thine own sake, O my God, for Thy name is called on Thy city, and on Thy people.'

² Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah, Say ye unto Him: `Take away all iniquity, and give good, And we do render the fruit of our lips.

¹² `And forgive us our debts, as also we forgive our debtors. <sup>13</sup> `And mayest Thou not lead us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil, because Thine is the reign, and the power, and the glory—to the ages. Amen. ¹⁴ `For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you—your Father who is in the heavens; ¹⁵ but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answering said, `I do confess to Thee, Father, Lord of the heavens and of the earth, that thou didst hide these things from wise and understanding ones, and didst reveal them to babes. ²⁶ Yes, Father, because so it was good pleasure before Thee.

³⁵ so also my heavenly Father will do to you, if ye may not forgive each one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.'

⁴¹ watch, and pray, that ye may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'

¹³ `And those upon the rock: They who, when they may hear, with joy do receive the word, and these have no root, who for a time believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

⁴⁶ and he said to them, `Why do ye sleep? having risen, pray that ye may not enter into temptation.'

¹⁵ I do not ask that Thou mayest take them out of the world, but that Thou mayest keep them out of the evil.

¹³ No temptation hath taken you—except human; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear it .

⁷ and that by the exceeding greatness of the revelations I might not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of the Adversary, that he might buffet me, that I might not be exalted overmuch. ⁸ Concerning this thing thrice the Lord did I call upon, that it might depart from me,

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking, be put away from you, with all malice, ³² and become one to another kind, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, according as also God in Christ did forgive you.

¹³ forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any one with any one may have a quarrel, as also the Christ did forgive you—so also ye;

³ and stedfast is the Lord, who shall establish you, and shall guard you from the evil;

¹⁸ and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save me —to his heavenly kingdom; to whom is the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen.

¹³ for the judgment without kindness is to him not having done kindness, and exult doth kindness over judgment.

⁸ if we may say—`we have not sin,' ourselves we lead astray, and the truth is not in us; <sup>9</sup> if we may confess our sins, stedfast He is and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness; <sup>10</sup> if we may say—`we have not sinned,' a liar we make Him, and His word is not in us.

¹⁰ `Be not afraid of the things that thou art about to suffer; lo, the devil is about to cast of you to prison, that ye may be tried, and ye shall have tribulation ten days; become thou faithful unto death, and I will give to thee the crown of the life.

¹⁰ `Because thou didst keep the word of my endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of the trial that is about to come upon all the world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.
