²⁰ and He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,

²⁷ `For, the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father, with his messengers, and then he will reward each, according to his work.

³ And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what is the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'

³⁰ and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory; ³¹ and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
³² `And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer is nigh, <sup>33</sup> so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh—at the doors. <sup>34</sup> Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass. <sup>35</sup> The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. <sup>36</sup> `And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known—not even the messengers of the heavens—except my Father only;

²⁶ `And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much power and glory,

³⁰ Verily I say to you, that this generation may not pass away till all these things may come to pass; ³¹ the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. ³² `And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known—not even the messengers who are in the heaven, not even the Son—except the Father. ³³ Take heed, watch and pray, for ye have not known when the time is; ³⁴ as a man who is gone abroad, having left his house, and given to his servants the authority, and to each one his work, did command also the porter that he may watch; ³⁵ watch ye, therefore, for ye have not known when the lord of the house doth come, at even, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or at the morning; ³⁶ lest, having come suddenly, he may find you sleeping; ³⁷ and what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.'

¹¹ And while they are hearing these things, having added he spake a simile, because of his being nigh to Jerusalem, and of their thinking that the reign of God is about presently to be made manifest.

²⁷ `And then they shall see the Son of Man, coming in a cloud, with power and much glory;

³¹ because He did set a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom He did ordain, having given assurance to all, having raised him out of the dead.'

² that ye be not quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled, neither through spirit, neither through word, neither through letters as through us, as that the day of Christ hath arrived;

⁸ and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence,

²⁸ so also the Christ, once having been offered to bear the sins of many, a second time, apart from a sin-offering, shall appear, to those waiting for him—to salvation!

⁷ Lo, he doth come with the clouds, and see him shall every eye, even those who did pierce him, and wail because of him shall all the tribes of the land. Yes! Amen!

¹¹ And I saw the heaven having been opened, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness doth he judge and war, ¹² and his eyes are as a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems—having a name written that no one hath known, except himself, ¹³ and he is arrayed with a garment covered with blood, and his name is called, The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies in the heaven were following him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen—white and pure; ¹⁵ and out of his mouth doth proceed a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he doth tread the press of the wine of the wrath and the anger of God the Almighty, ¹⁶ and he hath upon the garment and upon his thigh the name written, `King of kings, and Lord of lords.'
