⁵ A wijs man is strong, and a lerned man is stalworth and miyti.

⁷ God, thou conuertid schalt quykene vs; and thi puple schal be glad in thee.

¹⁴ Counseil is myn, and equyte `is myn; prudence is myn, and strengthe `is myn.

²⁹ The strengthe of a symple man is the weie of the Lord; and drede to hem that worchen yuel.

²² A wijs man stiede `in to the citee of stronge men, and distriede the strengthe of trist therof.

¹⁹ It is good, that thou susteyne a iust man; but also withdrawe thou not thin hond from hym; for he that dredith God, is not necligent of ony thing.
