¹⁵ However, I have written to you, brethren, somewhat the more freely, in reminding you of your duty; because of the favor bestowed upon me by God,

⁵ by whom we have received grace and apostleship to preach the obedience of faith for his name's sake, to all nations;

³ For by the grace conferred on me I charge every one among you, not to think of himself above what he ought to think: but to think with sobriety, according as God hath divided to every man the measure of faith.

⁶ But having different gifts, according to the grace conferred upon us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith:

¹⁰ According to the grace of God given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let every one see to it how he buildeth thereon.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his favor to me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

¹⁵ But when it pleased God, (who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,) ¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach Him among the gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood,

⁹ and knowing the grace which was given to me; James, and Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars of the church, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go to the gentiles, and they to the circumcision.

⁷ of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God conferred on me by the effectual operation of his power. ⁸ On me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace bestowed, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹¹ which is according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I was intrusted. ¹² And I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who gave me ability for the work, that He accounted me faithful, having put me into the ministry, ¹³ who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an oppressor. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief: and the grace of our Lord superabounded, ¹⁴ with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

⁶ If thou lay these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, as one brought up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which thou hast attained.

⁶ for which cause I remind thee to stir up the gift of God which is in thee through the imposition of my hands.

¹⁴ These things remind them of, charging them before the Lord not to contend about words, which is profitable for nothing, and tends to the subversion of the hearers.

¹ Admonish them to be submissive to governors and magistrates, to obey their orders, and to be ready to every good work;

²² I beseech you, brethren, bear with this word of exhortation: as I have written to you in brief.

¹⁰ as every one hath received a gift, imparting it to each other, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. ¹¹ If any one speak, let it be as declaring the oracles of God: if any one minister, let it be as from the power which God affordeth him: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹² Thus I have written briefly by Silvanus, a faithful brother to you (as I judge) exhorting and testifying, that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

¹² Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth. ¹³ And I think it my duty, while I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by way of remembrance: ¹⁴ knowing that I must soon lay down this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. ¹⁵ And I will endeavour that after my departure also ye may always be able to call these things to remembrance.

¹ This second epistle, my beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your sincere mind in remembrance, ² that ye may be mindful of the words formerly spoken by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: knowing this first,

¹⁵ and account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written unto you;

¹² I write unto you, little children, because for his sake your sins are forgiven you: ¹³ I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning: and I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. Yea I have written to you, little children, because ye have known the Father: ¹⁴ I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning: and I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one---

¹³ These things have I written to you, who believe on the name of the son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may the more firmly believe on the name of the Son of God.

³ Beloved, having an earnest desire to write to you concerning the common salvation, I was under a necessity of writing to exhort you that ye would strive earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. ⁴ For there have crept in some men, who have been of old described as under this condemnation, impious people, that turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and deny God the only Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵ But I would remind you of this, which ye know already, that though the Lord saved the people out of the land of Egypt, yet He afterwards destroyed those that believed not:
