²¹ And He answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God and do it.

²¹ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doth the will of my Father, who is in heaven: ²² many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name have wrought many miracles? and I will then declare unto them, ²³ I never owned you, depart from me, ye workers of iniquity. ²⁴ Whoever therefore heareth these words of mine, and performeth them, I will compare him to a prudent man, who built his house on a rock: ²⁵ and the rain fell upon it, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock. ²⁶ And whoever heareth these words of mine, and performeth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:

⁵ And as he was speaking, lo a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him.

⁴⁰ And the king replying will say unto them, Verily I declare unto you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of the lest of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

⁴⁵ Then will He reply to them, saying, Verily I tell you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the lest of these, ye did it not to me.

¹⁰ Then saith Jesus unto them, Be not afraid, go tell my brethren to repair into Galilee, and there they shall see me.

¹⁵ But that on the good ground, are those who having heard the word, retain it in a good and honest heart, and bring forth fruit with patience.

²⁷ As He was speaking these things, a certain woman lifted up her voice from amidst the croud, and said, Happy is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck! ²⁸ but He replied, Yea rather happy are they, that hear the word of God and keep it.

²⁸ Therefore said they unto Him, What should we do, that we may work the works approved of God? ²⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him, whom He hath sent.

¹⁷ If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.

¹⁴ and ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you. ¹⁵ I no longer stile you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for whatsoever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

¹⁷ Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not now; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go directly to my brethren, and tell them, "I am to ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God."

¹⁶ Wherefore we henceforth know no one according to the flesh: and if we have known even Christ after the flesh, yet now we thus know Him no more.

¹⁸ and I will be a father unto you, and ye shall be to me for sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

¹¹ since He that sanctifieth, and they that are sanctified, are all of one. For which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² saying, "I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee." ¹³ And again, "I will trust in Him:" and again, "Behold, I, and the children which God hath given me."

²² But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

²⁹ If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one, who practiseth righteousness, is born of Him.

²² and whatsoever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. ²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He hath given us a charge to do.

¹¹ Beloved, do not thou follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doth good is of God: but he, that doth evil, hath not seen God.
