³ and Simon Peter saith unto them, I will go a fishing, and they say to him, We will also go with thee. So they went out, and forthwith entered into a ship: and that night they caught nothing.

¹⁸ Now as Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; (for they were fishermen:) ¹⁹ and He saith unto them, Come with me, and I will make you fishers of men: ²⁰ and they immediately left their nets, and followed Him.

⁵ And Simon answered and said unto Him, Master, we have been toiling all the night, and have caught nothing; however at thy word I will cast the net.

¹⁰ as were also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Be not afraid, from henceforth thou shalt be a captor of men. ¹¹ And when they had brought their ships to land, they left all and followed Him.

³ and as he was of the same trade, he staid and worked with them: for they were tent-makers.

³⁴ and ye yourselves know that these hands have ministred to my necessities, and to those that were with me.

⁷ So that neither he that planteth is any thing, nor he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase.

⁶ Or is it I only and Barnabas, that have not power to forbear working?

⁹ For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for working night and day, that we might not be burthensome to any of you, we preached among you the gospel of God.

⁷ For ye know how ye ought to imitate us: for we were not disorderly among you; ⁸ neither did we eat any one's bread for nothing; but with labor and toil, working night and day, that we might not be burthensome to any of you. ⁹ Not that we have not power, but that we might give ourselves as an example to you to imitate us.
