⁴⁰ Then they all cried out again, saying, Not Him, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

¹⁶ and they had then a notorious malefactor named Barabbas.

²⁶ Then he released to them Barabbas: but he ordered Jesus to be scourged, and delivered Him to be crucified.

⁷ and there was one Barabbas under confinement with some of his accomplices in sedition, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

¹⁵ So Pilate being willing to ingratiate with the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus, delivered Him up to be crucified.
