³⁰ Wherefore though God overlooked the times of this ignorance, He now requireth all men every where to repent.

² and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand:

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁵ and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

¹² And they went forth, and preached that men should repent.

⁵ I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

¹⁰ Thus, I tell you, there is joy among the angels of God over one repenting sinner.

⁴⁷ and that in his name should be preached repentance and remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out: that seasons of refreshing may come upon you from the presence of the Lord;

¹⁸ And when they heard these things they acquiesced, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.

¹⁶ and all things therein, who in generations past suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways: though He left not Himself without witness;

²³ for as I was passing along, and looking at what ye worshipped, I found an altar on which there was inscribed, "To the unknown God." Whom therefore ye worship unknown, Him do I declare unto you.

²¹ testifying both to the Jews and Greeks, repentance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, to whom I now send thee, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God; that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me. ¹⁹ Wherefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision: ²⁰ but declared first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and through all the country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, and turn unto God, performing works suitable to repentance.

²⁸ And as they were not careful to acknowledge God, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind to do things that were not fit to be done:

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

²³ for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;

²⁵ whom God hath appointed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, in the remission of past sins, according to the forbearance of God;

¹⁰ For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and charge you in the name of the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, ¹⁸ in the vanity of their mind, darkened in their understanding, and alienated from the life of God, through the ignorance that is in them, by reason of the hardness of their heart: ¹⁹ who, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to commit all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But ye have not so learned Christ; ²¹ if ye have indeed hearkened to Him, and been instructed in Him, as the truth is in Jesus; to put off the old man, ²² which according to your former conversation was corrupted with deceitful lusts, ²³ and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ²⁴ and to put on the new man, which according to the image of God is created in righteousness, and true holiness. ²⁵ Wherefore putting away lying, speak ye every one truth to his neighbor; for we are all members of one society. ²⁶ Be angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath; ²⁷ and give not the devil room to ensnare you. ²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, doing some good with his hands, that he may have something to bestow on him that hath need of it. ²⁹ Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth; but what is good to useful edification, that it may benefit the hearers. ³⁰ And grieve not the holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed to the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another, ³² tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.

⁶ Let no one deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. ⁷ Therefore be not partners with them. ⁸ For ye were heretofore darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord:

¹¹ For the grace of God, that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men; ¹² teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world;

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance: ¹⁵ but as He who hath called you is holy, be ye also holy in all your conversation: since it is written,

³ For the time past of our life is sufficient for us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, inordinate desires, excess of wine, revellings, drunkenness, and abominable idolatries:
