¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one, that loveth Him that begat, loveth Him also that is begotten of Him:

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God.

¹² But as many as received Him, to them granted He the privilege to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name; ¹³ who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily I tell thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

⁶⁹ Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and know that thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

⁴² Jesus said unto them, If God were your father, ye would love me: for I came forth, and do come, from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent me.

²³ He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See here is water, what hindereth me from being baptized?

⁹ and believe in thine heart, that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

¹⁸ who hath of his own will begotten us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath regenerated us to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

²² Having therefore purified your souls by obedience to the truth, through the Spirit, to brotherly love unfeigned, love one another with a pure heart fervently: ²³ being regenerated not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.

¹⁰ whereas, he that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and is in no danger of stumbling.

²² Who is a liar, if not he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, that denieth the Father as well as the Son; ²³ for whosoever denieth the Son, hath not the Father: but he that confesseth the Son acknowledgeth the Father also.

²⁹ If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one, who practiseth righteousness, is born of Him.

⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not practise sin, because his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

¹⁴ since we know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he, that loveth not his brother, remaineth in death.

¹⁷ But if any one, who hath the good things of the world, seeth his brother in want, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

² By this ye may know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesseth Jesus Christ, who is come in the flesh, is of God:

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is from God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. ¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

²⁰ I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for how can he, that loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen?

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that vanquisheth the world, even our faith.
