²⁸ And why are ye anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin;

²⁵ Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

³¹ Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?'

¹⁰ nor wallet for your journey, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the laborer is worthy of his food.

¹¹ And he, answering, said to them, "Let him who has two coats share with him who has none; and let him who has food do likewise."

²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and I say to you, even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed as one of these!

³⁵ And He said to them, "When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and sandals, did ye lack anything?" And they said, "Nothing." ³⁶ And He said to them, "But now let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a wallet; and let him who has not a sword sell his garment, and buy one.
