¹⁹ And He said to them, "What things?" And they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a Prophet, mighty in deed and word, before God and all the people:

¹¹ And the multitudes said, "This is the Prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."

²⁴ saying, "What is there to us and Thee, Jesus, Nazarene? didst Thou come to destroy us? I know Thee Who Thou art, the Holy One of God."

¹⁶ And fear seized on all; and they were glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet was raised up among us," and "God did visit His people."

² This man came to Jesus by night, and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that Thou hast come, as a Teacher, from God; for no one can do the signs which Thou art doing, unless God be with Him."

¹⁹ The woman says to Him, "Sir, I perceive that Thou art a Prophet.

¹⁴ The men, therefore, seeing the sign that He did, said, "This, truly, is the Prophet Who cometh into the world."

⁴⁰ Some of the multitude, therefore, having heard these words, said, "Truly This is the Prophet;" ⁴¹ others said, "This is the Christ;" but some said, "What? doth the Christ come out of Nazareth?" ⁴² Did not the Scriptures say, that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"

⁵² They answered, and said to him, "Are you also of Galilee? Search, and see that out of Galilee arises no prophet."

²² "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus, the Nazarene, a man accredited from God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did through Him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know;
