³⁶ Then He left the crowds and went into His house. And His disciples came up to Him and said, "Explain to us the story of the wild wheat in the field."

²⁸ After He had gone into the house, and the blind men had gone up to Him, Jesus said to them, "Do you really believe that I can do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."

¹ That same day Jesus went out of His house and was sitting on the seashore.

¹¹ He answered: "It is you and not they who are granted the privilege of knowing the secrets of the kingdom of heaven.

²² And He at once had the disciples get into the boat and cross to the other side ahead of Him, while He dismissed the crowds.

¹⁵ Then Peter said to Him, "Explain the maxim for us." ¹⁶ And He said, "Are you too, even yet, without understanding?

³⁹ Then He sent the crowds away, got into the boat, and went to the district of Magadan.

³⁴ He did not tell them anything except by stories, but to His own disciples He kept on privately explaining everything.

⁴⁵ Then He insisted that the disciples at once get into their boat and cross ahead of Him toward Bethsaida, while He was sending the crowd away.

¹⁷ Now when He had left the crowd and gone home, His disciples were asking Him the meaning of this story.

⁹ About four thousand people were there. Then He sent them away.

¹⁷ So some of His disciples said to one another, "What does He mean by telling us, 'In just a little while you will not see me, and yet in just a little while after you will see me again,' and 'Because I am going away to the Father'?" ¹⁸ So they kept saying, "What does He mean by saying, 'a little while'? We do not know what He is talking about." ¹⁹ Jesus knew that they wanted to ask Him a question, and so He said to them, "Are you inquiring of one another about this saying of mine, 'In just a little while you will not see me, and yet in just a little while after you will see me again'? ²⁰ I most solemnly say to you, you will weep and wail, but the world will be glad; you will grieve but your grief will be turned into gladness.
