¹⁶ For I tell you, I shall never again eat one until it finds its full fruition in the kingdom of God."

³⁷ Happy are those slaves whom the master, when he comes, will find on the watch for him. I solemnly say to you, he will tighten his belt and have them sit at table, and he will go around and wait on them.

¹⁵ But one of the fellow-guests heard this, and said to Him, "Happy will be the man who is fortunate enough to be at the feast in the kingdom of God."

If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever, and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my own flesh." ⁵² But the Jews kept on wrangling with one another and saying, "How can He give us His flesh to eat?" ⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life in you. ⁵⁴ Whoever continues to eat my flesh and drink my blood already possesses eternal life, and I will raise him to life on the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. ⁵⁶ Whoever continues to eat my flesh and drink my blood continues to live in union with me and I in union with him. ⁵⁷ Just as the living Father has sent me and I live because of the Father, so whoever keeps on eating me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that comes down out of heaven; not as your forefathers ate the manna, and yet died. Whoever continues to eat this bread will live forever."

⁴¹ not by all the people but by witnesses whom God had beforehand appointed, namely, by us who ate and drank with Him after His resurrection from the dead.

⁷ You must clean out the old yeast, that you may be a fresh lump, as you are to be free from the old yeast. For our Passover Lamb, Christ, has already been sacrificed. ⁸ So let us keep our feast, not with old yeast nor with the yeast of vice and wickedness, but with the bread of purity and truth without the yeast.

¹ For since the law cast only a shadow of the blessings to come and did not possess the reality itself of those blessings, the priests with the same sacrifices that are perpetually offered year after year cannot make perfect those who come to worship. ² Otherwise, would they not have ceased offering them, because those who offered them, having once been purified, would have had no further consciousness of sins? ³ On the other hand, through these sacrifices there is given a real reminder of their sins, ⁴ for the blood of bulls and goats is unable to take away sins. ⁵ So, when Christ was coming into the world, He said: ⁶ "Sacrifice and offering you did not wish, but a body you have prepared for me; in burnt-offerings and sin-offerings you never took delight. ⁷ Then I said, 'See, I have come, just as the Scripture writes about me in the book, O God, to do your will.'" ⁸ Although at first He said, "You never wished or took delight in sacrifices and offerings, burnt-offerings and sin-offerings" -- all of which are repeatedly offered in accordance with the law -- ⁹ He afterward said, "See, I have come to do your will." He is taking away the first to let the second take its place. ¹⁰ It is by this will of God that we are consecrated through the offering of Jesus' body once for all.

⁹ Then he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are they who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' These," he said to me, "are the true words of God."
