¹¹ And she said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go. Stop sinning from this point on."

There was a man who had two sons, He came to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in my vineyard today.' ²⁹ And he answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go. ³⁰ Then he came to the second and said the same thing. And he answered, 'I will not.' But afterward he changed his mind and went. ³¹ Which of the two did what his father wanted?" They answered, "The second one." Jesus said to them, "I solemnly say to you, the tax-collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of heaven ahead of you.

³² It is not upright but sinful people that I have come to invite to repentance."

⁵⁶ Then they went on to a different village.

¹³ Just then a man in the crowd said to Him, "Tell my brother to share with me our inheritance." ¹⁴ But He said to him, "Man, who made me a judge or umpire in your affairs?"

³ By no means, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all perish as they did.

⁷ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinful person who repents than over ninety-nine upright people who do not need any repentance.

¹⁰ Just so, I tell you, there is joy among the angels of God over one sinful person who repents!"

³² But we just had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life, was lost and has been found.'"

¹⁷ For God sent His Son into the world, not to pass sentence on it, but that the world through Him might be saved.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus found him in the temple court, and said to him, "See! You are now well. Stop sinning or something worse may befall you."

¹⁵ You are judging in accordance with external standards, but I judge nobody.

³⁶ Jesus answered, "My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom did belong to this world, my attendants would have been fighting to keep me from being turned over to the Jews. But as a matter of fact, my kingdom does not come from such a source."

⁴ Do you think so little of the riches of God's kindness, forbearance, and patience, not conscious that His kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

²⁰ Then law crept in to multiply the offense. Though sin has multiplied, yet God's favor has surpassed it and overflowed, ²¹ so that just as sin had reigned by death, so His favor too might reign in right standing with God which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

³ For civil authorities are not a terror to the man who does right, but they are to the man who does wrong. Do you want to have no dread of the civil authorities? Then practice doing right and you will be commended for it. ⁴ For the civil authorities are God's servants to do you good. But if you practice doing wrong, you should dread them, for they do not wield the sword for nothing. Indeed, they are God's servants to inflict punishment upon people who do wrong.

¹² For what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not for you to judge those who are inside the church,

¹⁵ It is a saying to be trusted and deserves our fullest acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; and I am the foremost of them. ¹⁶ Yet, mercy was shown me for the very purpose that in my case as the foremost of sinners Jesus might display His perfect patience, to make me an example to those who in the future might believe on Him to obtain eternal life.

¹⁵ Always think of our Lord's patience as salvation, just as our dearly beloved brother Paul, with the wisdom granted him, wrote you to do,

²¹ I have given her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her immorality. ²² See! I am going to lay her on a bed of sickness, and bring down to great and pressing sorrow those who practice immorality with her, unless they repent of their practices;
