²² Now when Jesus heard [him,] he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: Sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens: and come, follow me.

¹⁹ You shall not lay up for your selves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. ²⁰ But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

²¹ Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go, sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens: and come follow me.

²⁷ Then answered Peter, and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? ²⁸ And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me: In the regeneration, when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall your selves sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²³ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and follow me.

⁵⁷ And it came to pass that as they went in the way, one said unto him, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. ⁵⁸ And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the heaven nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head. ⁵⁹ And he said unto another, Follow me: But he said, suffer me first to go away, and bury my father. ⁶⁰ But he said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead; but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. ⁶¹ And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee: but let me first bid them farewell who are at home at my house. ⁶² But Jesus said unto him, No man looking back, and putting his hand to the plough, is fit for the kingdom of God.

⁴² But one thing is needful. Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

³³ Sell that ye have, and give alms: provide your selves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens, that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

⁹ And I say unto you, Make to your selves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness;that when it fails, they may receive you into everlasting tabernacles.

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things common. ⁴⁵ And as many as had possessions of goods, sold them, and parted them to all as every one had need.

³⁴ And no one among them wanted: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses: sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, ³⁵ And laid [them] down at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto every one according as he had need. ³⁶ And Joseph, who by the apostles was sirnamed Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation) of the Country of Cyprus, a Levite. ³⁷ Having land, sold [it], and brought the money, and laid [it] at the apostles feet.

¹³ Brethren, I count not my self to have yet apprended: but one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

¹⁸ That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; ¹⁹ To lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on that life which is real.

⁸ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
