Ælch riche þe byð twyræde on hym sylfen beoð to-worpen. & ælc ceastre oððe hus þe byoð wiðerweard ongean hyt sylf. hit ne stent. ²⁶ And gyf se deofel adrif ut þanne deofel hyo byð to-dælde. hu maig þanne hys rice standen. ²⁷ & gyf ich þurh beelzebub adrife ut deofele. þurh hwane adrifð eowre bearn. for-þan hyo sylfe beoð owre demen. ²⁸ Gif ic soðlice on godes gaste awurpe deofel. witodlice on eow be-cumeð godes riche. ²⁹ Oððe hu mæg man ingan on stranges hus. & his fate hine be-refian bute he ge-binde ærest þane strangen. & þanne hys hus bereafian.

²³ & he hyo to-gadere ge-cleopede. & on bispellen heom to cwæð. hu maig sathanas sathana un adrifen (sic) ²⁴ & gif his rice on him sylfen byoð to-dæled hu maig hit standen. ²⁵ & gyf þt hus ofer hit sylfen bið to-dæled hu maig hit standen. ²⁶ Ænd gif sathanas winð an-gen hine sylfne he beoð to-dæled & he standen ne maig ac hafð ende. ²⁷ Ne maig man þane strangen his ehte & his fate be-reafian & on his hus gan butan man þanne strangen ærest ge-binde þanne his hus reafige.

²⁵ & for-þam hym næs nan þearf þt aning (sic) man sæde witnysse be men. he wiste witodlice hwæt wæs on men.
