⁴² & he cwæð to þam hælende. Drihten ge-mune þu me. þanne þu kymst on þin rice. ⁴³ Þa cwæð se hælend to hym. to-daig þu byst mid me on paradise.

³⁷ On þam after-mesten mæren freols-dæge. stod se halend ænd clepede. cume to me se þe hine þyrste & drinke. ³⁸ Se þe ge-lyfd on me swa þæt ge-writ cwæð. libbendes wæteres flod floweð of hys innoðe. ³⁹ Ðæt he cwæð be þam gaste þe þa scolden under-fon þe on hym ge-lyfden. Ða get nes se gast ge-seald. for-þam þe se hælend næs þa gyt ge-wuldrod.

³⁵ Ða se hælend ge-hyrde þæt hyo hine drifen ut. Þa cwæð he to hym. þa he hine ge-mette. Ge-lefst þu on godes sunu. ³⁶ He andswerede & cwæð. Hwilc is drihten þt ich on hine ge-lyfe. ³⁷ And se hælend cwæð to hym. Þu hyne seage ænd se þe wið þe spræc se hyt ys. ³⁸ Þa cwæð he. drihten ic ge-lefe. & he fell nyðer. & ge-eadmedede hine.

³ & þas þing hyo doð for-þan þe hyo ne cuþen minne fader ne me.

³ Ðis ys soðliche eche lyf þæt hyo on-cnawen. þæt þu ert an soð god. & se þe þu sendest hælend crist.
