⁵⁶ But all this is done, that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.

²⁴ The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

³¹ Then saith Jesus to them, All ye will be offended at me this night, for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.

⁵⁴ But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

⁵⁰ Then they all forsook him and fled. And a certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; ⁵¹ and the young men laid hold on him. ⁵² And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

³² yea, is already come, that ye shall be scattered every one to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone; for the Father is with me.

⁸ Jesus answered, I have told you, I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go: ⁹ That the saying might be fulfilled which he had spoke, Of them whom thou hast given me, I have lost none.

¹⁵ Now Simon Peter followed Jesus, and another disciple. That disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. ¹⁶ But Peter stood at the door without: therefore the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out, and spake to her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

¹⁶ Men, brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spake before by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was guide to them that took Jesus.
