¹³ Then were brought to him little children, that he should lay his hands on them and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

²² Then Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him, saying, Favour thyself, Lord: this shall in no wise be unto thee.

² And Jesus calling to him a little child, set him in the midst of them, ³ And said, Verily I say to you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ⁵ And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.

³¹ And the multitude charged them to hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

¹³ And they brought little children to him that he might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those that brought them. ¹⁴ But Jesus seeing it was much displeased and said to them, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. ¹⁵ Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein. ¹⁶ And taking them up in his arms, he put his hands upon them and blessed them.

⁴⁹ And John answering said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and we forbad him; because he followeth not with us. ⁵⁰ And Jesus said to him, forbid him not, for he that is not against you is for you.

⁵⁴ And his disciples James and John seeing it said, Lord, Wilt thou that we bid fire come down from heaven and consume them, even as Elijah did? ⁵⁵ But he turning rebuked them and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of:

³⁹ For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.

¹⁴ For the unbelieving husband hath been sanctified by the wife; and the unbelieving wife hath been sanctified by the husband. Else were your children unclean; but now they are holy.
