²² Then Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him, saying, Favour thyself, Lord: this shall in no wise be unto thee.

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answering said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to him, Happy art thou, Simon Barjonah; for flesh and blood have not revealed this to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.

⁵¹ And behold one of them that were with Jesus, stretching out his hand, drew his sword, and striking the servant of the high priest, cut off his ear. ⁵² Then said Jesus to him, Put up again thy sword into its place; for all they that take the sword, shall perish by the sword. ⁵³ Thinkest thou that I cannot now ask my Father, and he will presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

³² And he spake that saying openly.

¹¹ And coming to us, he took up Paul's girdle, and binding his own feet and hands, said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man whose girdle this is, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. ¹² And when we heard these things, both we, and they of the place, besought him, not to go up to Jerusalem. ¹³ But Paul answered, What mean ye, weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁶ Then cometh he to Simon Peter, who saith to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? ⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, What I do, thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. ⁸ Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
