⁴ behold two men stood by them in shining garments.

² And behold, there had been a great earthquake, and an angel of the Lord descending from heaven, had come and rolled away the stone from the door and sat upon it. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the guards trembled, and became as dead men. ⁵ But the angel answering said to the women, Fear not ye; for I know ye seek Jesus who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁵ And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man, sitting on the right-side, clothed in a white robe; and they were affrighted.
