²⁴ For Christ did not enter into the holy place made with hands, the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

⁵⁸ saying, We heard him say, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

¹⁹ So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat on the right-hand of God.

² Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth.

²⁰ Whither Jesus our fore-runner is entered for us, made an high-priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek.

²⁵ Wherefore he is able also, to save them to the uttermost who come to God thro' him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. ²⁶ For such an high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens:

² A minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath fixed and not man.

⁵ Who serve after the pattern and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God, when he was about to make the tabernacle; for, saith he, See thou make all things according to the pattern which was shewed thee on the mount.

⁹ Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, which could not perfect the worshiper as to his conscience,

¹¹ But Christ being come, an high-priest of good things to come, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, ¹² not made with hands, that is, not of this building, And not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

²³ It was therefore necessary, that the patterns of things in heaven should be purified by these, but the heavenly things themselves by better sacrifices than these.

⁵¹ And while he was blessing them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days. ²⁰ Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? ²¹ But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this;

⁶² What if ye shall see the Son of man ascend where he was before?

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁹ And having spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him from their sight. ¹⁰ And while they were stedfastly looking up to heaven, as he went up, ¹¹ behold two men, in white apparel, stood by them, Who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing into heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, as ye have seen him going into heaven.

²¹ who was before appointed, Whom heaven must receive, till the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead; and he hath made him sit at his own right-hand in heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. ²² And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church,

⁸ Wherefore he saith, Having ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. ⁹ (Now that he ascended, what is it, but that he also descended first to the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same that ascended also, far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) ¹¹ And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers;

³ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and sustaining all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high,

² who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right-hand of the throne of God.

²² Who being gone into heaven, is on the right-hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers being subjected to him.

¹ My beloved children, I write these things to you, that ye may not sin. But if any one sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, And he is the propitiation for our sins; ² and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and much incense was given him, that he might place it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which is before the throne.
