²¹ I do not make void the grace of God; for if righteousness is by the law, then Christ died in vain.

⁹ And he said to them, Full well ye abolish the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

³ For they being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

⁶ But if by grace, then it is no more of works: else grace is no longer grace. And if it be of works, then it is no more grace; else work is no longer work.

¹¹ If then perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law) what farther need was there that another priest should rise, after the order of Melchisedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

³¹ What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

² By which also ye are saved, if ye retain what I preached to you, unless ye have believed in vain.

¹⁴ And if Christ be not raised, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

¹⁷ And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are still in your sins.

¹⁶ and not sinners of the Gentiles, Even we (knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ) have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

¹⁸ God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

²¹ Is then the law against the promises of God? God forbid. But if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness would have been by the law.

² Behold, I Paul say unto you, If ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. ³ For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, he is a debtor to do the whole law. ⁴ Christ is become of no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
