³⁰ The times of ignorance indeed God overlooked; but he now commandeth all men every where to repent.

² And saying, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁵ Saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

¹² And they went out and preached, that men should repent.

⁵ I tell you, Nay; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

¹⁰ Thus, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

¹⁸ When they heard these things, they were quiet, and glorified God, saying, Then God hath given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.

¹⁶ Yet he left not himself without witness,

²³ For as I passed along and beheld the objects of your worship, I found an altar, on which was inscribed, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD: him therefore whom ye worship without knowing him, I proclaim unto you.

¹⁷ and of those in which I will appear to thee, Delivering thee from the people, ¹⁸ and the Gentiles, to whom I now send thee, To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God; that they may receive through faith which is in me, forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among them that are sanctified. ¹⁹ From that time, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, ²⁰ But first to them at Damascus and at Jerusalem, and through all the country of Judea, and then to the Gentiles I declare, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

²⁸ And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness:

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

²³ For all have sinned, and are fallen short of the glory of God,

²⁵ Whom God hath set forth as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness by the remission of past sins, through the forbearance of God: For a demonstration,

¹⁰ For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation not to be repented of, whereas the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹⁷ This therefore I say and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles, in the vanity of your mind: ¹⁸ Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, by the ignorance that is in them, through the hardness of their hearts: ¹⁹ Who being past feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But ye have not so learned Christ; Since ye have heard him, ²¹ and been taught by him, (as the truth is in Jesus) To put off, ²² concerning your former conversation, the old man, which is corrupt, according to the deceitful desires: ²³ To be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ²⁴ And to put on the new man, which is created after God, in righteousness and true holiness. ²⁵ Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour; for we are members one of another. ²⁶ Be ye angry, and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath, ²⁷ Neither give place to the devil. ²⁸ Let him that stole, steal no more; but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. ²⁹ Let no corrupt discourse proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good, to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers. ³⁰ And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you with all malice. ³² And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted; forgiving one another; as God also for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

⁶ Let no one deceive you with vain words; for because of these things the wrath of God cometh upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Be ye not therefore partakers with them. ⁸ For ye were once darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord:

¹¹ For the saving grace of God hath appeared to all men, ¹² Teaching us, that, having renounced ungodliness and all wordly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world,

¹⁴ As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to your former desires, in your ignorance; ¹⁵ But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation:

³ For the time past of your life sufficeth to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when ye walked in lasciviousness, evil desires, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries.
