⁵ For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the word of God of old the heavens were and the earth, standing out of the water and in the water,

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist, And he is the head of his body the church;

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that doth evil, hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

²⁸ And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness:

¹⁰ And with all deceiveableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And therefore God shall send them strong delusion, so that that they shall believe a lie, ¹² That they all may be condemned, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

³ Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were made of things which do not appear.
