³⁵ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness, and every disease among the people.

And her daughter was healed from that very hour. ²⁹ And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh to the sea of Galilee; and ascended a mountain, and sat down there. ³⁰ And great multitudes came to him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: ³¹ So that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

³⁸ And he said to them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for, for this purpose have I come. ³⁹ And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out demons.

⁷ But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judea. ⁸ And from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came to him. ⁹ And he spoke to his disciples, that a small boat should wait on him, because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. ¹⁰ For he had healed many; so that they pressed upon him to touch him, as many as had diseases. ¹¹ And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

¹³ And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. ¹⁴ And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. ¹⁵ And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

⁶ And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went around the villages teaching.

⁵⁴ And when they had come out of the boat forthwith they knew him, ⁵⁵ And ran through that whole region around, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. ⁵⁶ And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch, if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him, were healed.

²⁹ And he said to her, For this saying, depart; the demon is gone out of thy daughter. ³⁰ And when she had come to her house, she found the demon had gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

²² And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

³³ And in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice, ³⁴ Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. ³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the demon had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. ³⁶ And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

¹⁰ And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well that had been sick. ¹¹ And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain: and many of his disciples went with him, and many people. ¹² Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and many people of the city were with her. ¹³ And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not. ¹⁴ And he came and touched the bier: And they that bore him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say to thee, Arise. ¹⁵ And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak, and he delivered him to his mother. ¹⁶ And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet hath risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people. ¹⁷ And this rumor of him went forth throughout all Judea, and throughout all the neighboring region.

²¹ And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities, and diseases, and of evil spirits; and to many that were blind he gave sight. ²² Then Jesus answering, said to them, Go, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; that the blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. ²³ And blessed is he, to whom I shall not be a stumbling block.

⁴² And as he was yet coming, the demon threw him down, and tore him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

⁵⁶ For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

² The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

³⁶ Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? ³⁷ If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. ³⁸ But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in him.

³² Behold, the hour cometh, and is even now come, that ye shall be scattered every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were assembled against the Lord, and against his Christ. ²⁷ For in truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were assembled,

⁹ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

¹⁴ Since then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver them, who, through fear of death, were all their life-time subject to bondage.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

⁸ He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
