⁷ For nation will be raised up against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in various places;

¹¹ And there will be severe earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful events and great signs from heaven.

²⁵ “There will be signs in sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, at the roaring and tossing of the sea; ²⁶ men fainting from fear and expectation of the things coming on the inhabited earth—because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

¹⁹ I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood and fire and smoke vapor.

²⁸ One of them, named Agabus, stood up and indicated by the Spirit that a great famine was about to come upon the whole world (this indeed happened while Claudius was Caesar).

²⁷ Now the ‘yet once more’ clearly indicates the removal of the things being shaken (created things), so that the unshakables may remain.

⁸ And I looked and wow, a sickly pale horse! And as for the one sitting upon it, his name is Death, and Hades follows with him. And authority was given to him over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword and by famine and by death, even by the wild animals of the earth.

¹² And I saw, just when He opened the sixth seal—there was a severe earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
