¹⁹ And I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and enjoy yourself!’

⁴⁵ But if that servant should say in his heart, ‘My master won’t come for a while’, and should begin to hit the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,

¹⁸ But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him: ‘I bought a field, and I need to go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ ¹⁹ Another said: ‘I bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them.
