³ Because I transmitted to you at first that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

²² In fact, according to the Law nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. ²³ So then, it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with such, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than those.
