³⁵ Then they related what had happened on the way, and how He had been recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

¹² Afterwards He showed Himself in another form to two of them as they were walking, on their way into the country. ¹³ These, again, went and told the news to the rest; but not even them did they believe.

³⁰ But as soon as He had sat down with them, and had taken the bread and had blessed and broken it, and was handing it to them, ³¹ their eyes were opened and they recognized Him. But He vanished from them.

⁴² and they were constant in listening to the teaching of the Apostles and in their attendance at the Communion, that is, the Breaking of the Bread, and at prayer.
