¹⁰ Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.

⁵ My steps have held fast to your paths. My feet have not slipped.

⁸ Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings,

⁸ “He trusts in Yahweh. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”

²⁰ Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.

²³ Oh love Yahweh, all you his saints! Yahweh preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.

²⁸ For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

¹² Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

¹⁰ You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁶ Yahweh preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

¹ A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

⁵ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:

⁸ that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.

³ You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. ⁴ Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.

⁷ “Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. ⁸ For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.

⁹ Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,

¹² For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

² “Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself. ³ Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or does it benefit him that you make your ways perfect?

⁷ If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive from your hand? ⁸ Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are, and your righteousness may profit a son of man.

⁸ When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”

¹⁴ But I trust in you, Yahweh. I said, “You are my God.”

⁹ I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens. ¹⁰ For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills.

²⁵ Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.

²⁶ He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’

² I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”

¹³ Yahweh our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us, but we will only acknowledge your name.

⁵ One will say, ‘I am Yahweh’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand ‘to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”

⁹ I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ and they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.’”

¹⁰ Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

²⁸ Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

³⁵ “Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?”

⁴¹ “Now therefore arise, Yahweh God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength. Let your priests, Yahweh God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.

⁴ Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.

⁶ My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me.

¹⁵ Precious in Yahweh’s sight is the death of his saints.

⁶³ I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.

²⁶ A righteous person is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Your hair is as a flock of goats, that descend from Mount Gilead. ² Your teeth are like a newly shorn flock, which have come up from the washing, where every one of them has twins. Your temples are like a piece of a pomegranate behind your veil. ⁴ Your neck is like David’s tower built for an armory, on which a thousand shields hang, all the shields of the mighty men. ⁵ Your two breasts are like two fawns that are twins of a roe, which feed among the lilies. ⁶ Until the day is cool, and the shadows flee away, I will go to the mountain of myrrh, to the hill of frankincense. ⁷ You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you.

⁴ You will not be called Forsaken any more, nor will your land be called Desolate any more; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yahweh delights in you, and your land will be married.

¹⁷ They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.

¹³ But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.

¹⁰ So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; ²⁶ that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, ²⁷ that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect.

⁸ This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men;

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death. ¹⁵ Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. ¹⁶ By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. ¹⁷ But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?

¹⁴ Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he spoke with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a drink offering on it, and poured oil on it.

¹³ “Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and don’t invoke the name of other gods or even let them be heard out of your mouth.

¹³ The meal offering with it shall be two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to Yahweh for a pleasant aroma; and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

⁷ that you not come among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow down yourselves to them;

¹⁰ Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in Yahweh.

⁷ Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!

³⁷ Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons. ³⁸ They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.

⁶ Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion. They, they are your lot. You have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?

¹¹ “But you who forsake Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who fill up mixed wine to Destiny;

³ He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations:

¹⁸ The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

¹⁶ It will be in that day,” says Yahweh, “that you will call me ‘my husband,’ and no longer call me ‘my master.’ ¹⁷ For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by name.

⁸ Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

⁹ Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand, ¹⁰ he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

⁴ I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don’t receive of her plagues, ⁵ for her sins have reached to the sky, and God has remembered her iniquities.

⁹ For Yahweh’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁶ “Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”

⁴ For you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.

⁶ On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

⁷ For the king trusts in Yahweh. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved. ⁸ Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you. ⁹ You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. Yahweh will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men. ¹¹ For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed. ¹² For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.

⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.

⁶ You will prolong the king’s life. His years will be for generations. ⁷ He shall be enthroned in God’s presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

²⁶ My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

⁴ ‘I will establish your offspring forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah.

²⁰ I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil, ²¹ with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him. ²² No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him. ²³ I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him. ²⁴ But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted. ²⁵ I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers. ²⁶ He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’ ²⁷ I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. ²⁸ I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him. ²⁹ I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. ³⁰ If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances; ³¹ if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments; ³² then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. ³³ But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail. ³⁴ I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. ³⁵ Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me. ³⁷ It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.

¹ A Psalm by David. Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.” ² Yahweh will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule among your enemies.

¹³ I will take the cup of salvation, and call on Yahweh’s name.

⁵⁷ CHET Yahweh is my portion. I promised to obey your words.

³ For the scepter of wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the righteous; so that the righteous won’t use their hands to do evil.

¹¹ Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

¹⁷ I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed. ¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”

⁵ I cried to you, Yahweh. I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”

¹ “Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

¹² Therefore I will give him a portion with the great. He will divide the plunder with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death and was counted with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the maker of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance: Yahweh of Armies is his name.

²⁴ “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.”

³² This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.

³¹ God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

¹⁸ Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

How greatly he rejoices in your salvation! ² You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah. ³ For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.

⁵⁵ He also drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

¹⁹ “But I said, ‘How I desire to put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations!’ and I said, ‘You shall call me “My Father”, and shall not turn away from following me.’

¹⁷ Therefore Yahweh says: ‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

¹⁷ and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

²¹ Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, ²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours, ²³ and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

¹⁸ having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁹ Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ¹² If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.

² looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²¹ He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

³ You have proved my heart. You have visited me in the night. You have tried me, and found nothing. I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.

² My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.

⁸ Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.

⁶ when I remember you on my bed, and think about you in the night watches.

²¹ For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart.

²⁴ You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

² In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.

⁶ I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:

⁷ I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments.

⁵⁵ I have remembered your name, Yahweh, in the night, and I obey your law.

¹⁴⁸ My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word.

¹⁴ Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power.

² Yahweh’s Spirit will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh. ³ His delight will be in the fear of Yahweh. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; ⁴ but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

⁹ With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

¹⁷ Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.

⁴ The Lord Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary. He awakens morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

² You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root. They grow. Yes, they produce fruit. You are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.

¹⁰ “I, Yahweh, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

¹² In these days, he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.

²³ I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

⁵ he who doesn’t lend out his money for usury, nor take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be shaken.

⁶ He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.

²³ Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand.

³¹ For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.

⁵ The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.

⁵ Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.

¹⁸ If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.

²⁵ For David says concerning him, ‘I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved. ²⁶ Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope; ²⁷ because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay. ²⁸ You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

²⁷ By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

¹⁴ If a man dies, will he live again? I would wait all the days of my warfare, until my release should come. ¹⁵ You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire for the work of your hands.

²⁶ After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh, ²⁷ whom I, even I, will see on my side. My eyes will see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.

⁷ You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine are increased. ⁸ In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.

¹² to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

⁸ Wake up, my glory! Wake up, lute and harp! I will wake up the dawn.

³² The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.

¹⁹ Your dead shall live. My dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth will cast out the departed spirits.

²¹ In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.” ²² Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”

²⁶ Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope;

¹³ But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

⁵ So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest! ⁶ And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. ⁷ For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and sea creature, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind; ⁸ but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. ⁹ With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God.

²⁸ “‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Yahweh.

⁶ “‘All the days that he separates himself to Yahweh he shall not go near a dead body.

²² For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

⁸ They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know?

¹⁷ The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.

¹⁵ But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah.

⁸ If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!

¹¹ Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!

²⁰ Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; and a man’s eyes are never satisfied.

¹⁴ Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.

⁹ Sheol from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the departed spirits for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

²⁴ “Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.

² Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down.

³⁵ The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.

³⁴ saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”

²³ In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.

²⁷ because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay. ²⁸ You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’ ²⁹ “Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. ³⁰ Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, ³¹ he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵ and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

³⁵ Therefore he says also in another psalm, ‘You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’ ³⁶ For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay. ³⁷ But he whom God raised up saw no decay. ³⁸ Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,

⁴² So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.

⁵⁰ Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable. ⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. ⁵³ For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” ⁵⁵ “Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

¹⁸ and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

¹³ The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.

⁴ He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever. ⁵ His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him. ⁶ For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.

⁷ How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings. ⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

²⁴ See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

¹⁹ None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is like the dawning light that shines more and more until the perfect day.

⁶ She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it.

²⁸ In the way of righteousness is life; in its path there is no death.

³ Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law shall go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

¹⁴ How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

³³ He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

⁴⁶ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

¹⁹ So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

²⁸ You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

⁵⁶ and said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

¹² For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,

¹⁹ and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

²¹ who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

² Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.

²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,

¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them. ¹⁶ They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

⁵ There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.
