Isaiah 58:1 Cross References - VIN

¹ “Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.

⁹ I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Look, I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know. ¹⁰ I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart. I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not concealed Your grace and Your truth from the great assembly.

¹³ A great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

⁶ A voice shouts: "Cry out!" And I said: "What shall I cry?" The voice shouts: "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.

⁹ You bring good news to Zion. Go up on a high mountain. You bring good news to Jerusalem. Lift up your voice with a shout! Lift it up and do not be afraid! Say to the towns of Judah: "Here is your God!" ¹⁰ See the Sovereign Sovereign LORD comes with power. His arm (power) rules for him. See, his reward is with him and his recompense accompanies him.

¹⁰ Israel's watchmen are blind. They all lack knowledge they are all mute dogs. They cannot bark. They just lie around and dream, they love to sleep.

⁷ the LORD said to me: "'Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go wherever I send you. You must say whatever I command you to say. ⁸ Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the LORD. ⁹ Then the LORD stretched out his hand and touched my mouth. the LORD said to me: »I have put my words in your mouth. ¹⁰ See, today I've appointed you to prophesy about nations and kingdoms, to pull up and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."

¹⁷ But you, you must gird your loins, and stand, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be afraid of them, or I will shatter you before them. ¹⁸ For, behold, today I have made you a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against her princes, against her priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ "They will fight you but they will not defeat you. I am with you, and I will rescue you," declares the LORD.

⁸ "Look, you're trusting in deceptive words that cannot benefit. ⁹ Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known, ¹⁰ and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? ¹¹ "Has this house, called by my name, become a den of robbers in your sight? Behold, I, even I, have seen it," declares the LORD.

¹⁹ Therefore the LORD says: "If you return I will restore you. You will stand before me. If you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become my spokesman. They for their part may turn to you. But you must not turn to them." ²⁰ And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; and they shall fight against you, but they shall not overcome you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD.

³ And he said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even to this very day. ⁴ "I am sending you to these defiant and stubborn children." Tell them: 'This is what the Sovereign Sovereign LORD says: ⁵ And they, whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are a rebellious house, they will know that a prophet was in their midst. ⁶ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, and of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor frightened by their faces, though they are a rebellious house. ⁷ And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious. ⁸ But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.

⁵ For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel; ⁶ and not to many nations of obscure speech and a difficult language whose words you do not understand, for if I had sent you to them they would have listened to you. ⁷ But the house of Israel is not willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to Me, for all the house of Israel are strong of forehead and hard of heart. ⁸ "Yet, I will make you as stubborn and as hardheaded as they are. ⁹ I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”

¹⁷ Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. ¹⁸ "When I tell a wicked man that he will surely die, but you do not warn him or speak out so that he can change his wicked way in order to save his life; that wicked man will die because of his sin. I will hold you responsible for his death. ¹⁹ Yet if you warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul. ²⁰ And when the righteous turns from his righteousness and does injustice, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die. Since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered. But I will require his blood at your hand. ²¹ Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.”

⁴ Will you judge them? Will you judge them, son of man? Make known to them the detestable things of their ancestors.

² You, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the city of blood? So now cause her to know all her abominations.

¹ Put to your lips the trumpet like a vulture over the house of the LORD, because they have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.

⁸ But I, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the LORD, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his rebellion, and to Israel his sin. ⁹ Hear this, O rulers of the house of Jacob and leaders of the house of Israel, those detesting justice and perverting all that is right, ¹⁰ he who builds Zion with blood and Jerusalem with wickedness. ¹¹ Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they lean on the LORD, and say, “Isn’t the LORD among us? No disaster will come on us.” ¹² Therefore, because of you, Zion will be plowed up like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the temple Mount like a forest high place."

⁷ But when John saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his place of baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? ⁸ Produce fruit worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

⁵¹ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did. ⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers fail to persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One. And now you are His betrayers and murderers—

²⁶ Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. ²⁷ For I did not hesitate to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

¹⁵ These are the things you should teach. Encourage and refute with full authority. Do not let anyone look down on you.

¹⁰ On the Lord’s day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,

¹ After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the voice, which I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

⁹ The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, ¹⁰ will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been poured undiluted into the cup of his anger. He will be tortured with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the lamb.
