¹⁷ "My God will reject them, because they did not obey him, and they will become wanderers among the nations."

⁶⁴ "He'll scatter you among the peoples from one end of the earth to the other, and there you'll serve other gods made of wood and stones, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. ⁶⁵ Among those nations you'll have no rest. There'll be no resting place for the soles of your feet. Instead, the LORD will give you an anxious heart, failing eyesight, and a despairing spirit.

²⁶ I said: "I will scatter them, erasing their memory from the human race,

¹⁵ the LORD will strike Israel as one shakes the reed plant in the water, and he will root Israel up from this good land that he gave to their ancestors. He will scatter them beyond the River because they have made their sacred poles which are provoking the LORD. ¹⁶ And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who sinned, and that he made Israel to sin.

¹⁴ And they did not give ear, but became stiff-necked, like their fathers who had no faith in the Lord their God. ¹⁵ They rejected the LORD's statutes, the covenant that he had made with their ancestors, and his warnings that he gave them. They pursued meaninglessness {— } and became meaningless themselves {— } as they followed the lifestyles of the nations that surrounded them, a practice that the LORD had warned them not to do. ¹⁶ They abandoned all the commands of the LORD their God and made for themselves two molten calf-shaped idols; they made a pole of Asherah worship and bowed down to the army of the heavens and served Baal. ¹⁷ They made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, they practiced divination and read omens, and they sold themselves to do evil in the eyes of the LORD to provoke him. ¹⁸ the LORD was very angry with Israel. He removed them from his sight. Only the tribe of Judah kept its place. ¹⁹ But even Judah did not obey the commands of the LORD their God. They were guided by the rules Israel made. ²⁰ And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and gave them into the hand of the plunderers, until He had cast them out from His presence.

¹³ Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, I will say what my God says.”

¹⁶ But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

¹⁹ "Remember me with favor, my God, for everything I've done for this people."

¹⁴ But I trust in you, LORD. I say, "You are my God."

¹¹ But my people would not listen to my voice; and Israel would none of me. ¹² "Therefore I gave them over to their stubborn hearts. They walked in their own counsel. ¹³ O that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!

¹ He that is stiff necked and will not be reformed, shall suddenly be destroyed without any help.

¹³ Isaiah said: "Hear this you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?"

¹⁸ Oh that you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

³ "From the thirteenth year of the reign of Ammon's son Josiah, the king of Judah, until the present time, for 23 years the word of the LORD has come to me, and I've spoken to you again and again, but you haven't listened. ⁴ "the LORD has sent all his servants the prophets to you. Yet, you have not listened or paid attention to them."

⁴ Say to them, "This is what the LORD says: 'If you don't listen to me to follow my Law which I've set before you, ⁵ to listen to the words of my servants the prophets whom I have sent to you, over and over again, though you have not listened, ⁶ then I will make this house like Shiloh, and this city I will make a curse for all the nations of the earth.'" '"

¹⁵ I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending, saying, Each man now return from his evil way, and amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and you shall live in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers. But you have not bowed your ear, nor listened to Me. ¹⁶ Indeed the descendants of Rechab's son Jonadab have carried out the command of their ancestor that he gave them, but this people has not obeyed me. ¹⁷ "This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'I am going to bring on Judah and on all those who live in Jerusalem all the disasters that I threatened. I have spoken to them, but they did not listen. I called to them, but they did not answer.'"

¹⁰ They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned giving to the LORD.

¹³ Woe to them, because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, because they have rebelled against me! I myself would redeem them, but they speak lies against me.

² He said: "Amos, what do you see?" And I said, "A basket of summer fruit." Then the LORD said to me: "The end has come to my people Israel. I will spare them no longer.

⁹ "Yes, look, I am going to command and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations like one who shakes with a sieve, but not a pebble will fall to the ground.

⁷ But as for me, I will look to the LORD. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

⁴ "Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Return from your evil ways and your evil deeds!" ' But they did not hear and they did not pay attention to me," declares the LORD.

¹¹ But they refused to pay attention, turned their backs, and stopped listening. ¹² "They made their hearts hard like flint and would not listen to the law, and the words that the LORD Almighty sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Great anger came from the LORD Almighty!" ¹³ "'I cried, and they would not listen. Now they will cry, and I will not listen,' said the LORD Almighty! ¹⁴ But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

³⁵ The Jews said to one another, "Where is this man going that we shall not find him? Will he go to the Jews who are scattered among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"

²⁸ And Thomas said to him, My Lord and my God.

²³ Everyone who does not heed His words will be completely cut off from among the people.’

¹⁹ And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
