¹ Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel, for the LORD has an indictment against the inhabitants of the land. There is no faithfulness or loyalty, there is no knowledge of God in the land.

¹⁹ Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom, listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

¹⁸ "Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

¹³ The LORD stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people. ¹⁴ the LORD enters into judgment with the elders and princes of his people: "It is you who have devoured the vineyard. The plunder of the poor is in your houses.

³ And now, dweller of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, judge, pray, between Me and My vineyard,

¹⁴ Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, that rule this people in Jerusalem:

¹ Come near, you nations, to hear; and hearken, you people: let the earth hear, and all that is in it; the world, and all things that come forth of it.

⁸ For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution for the strife of Zion.

¹³ transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and murmuring words of falsehood from the heart. ¹⁴ And justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. ¹⁵ Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.

⁵ Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy. But it is those who will be put to shame.

⁴ Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel.

²² “For my people are foolish. They don’t know me. They are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are skillful in doing evil, but they don’t know how to do good.”

²⁸ For this the earth will mourn and the heavens above be black, because I have spoken it, I have purposed it and I have not relented, nor will I turn back from it.

⁴ Then I said, "These are only the poor, they're foolish, for they don't know the LORD's way, the requirement of their God.

¹³ For from the least of them even to the greatest, all are given to covetousness: and from the prophet even to the priest, all are guilty of deceit.

² "Stand at the gate of the LORD's house and proclaim there this word: 'Hear the word of the LORD, all you of Judah who enter by these gates to worship the LORD! ³ So says the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will let you dwell in this place. ⁴ "'"Do not trust in deceptive words. They say: 'This is the Temple of the LORD, the Temple of the LORD, and the Temple of the LORD. ⁵ For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your pursuits, and actually execute judgment between man and man: ⁶ if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt:

²⁸ "You will say to them: 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept correction. Truth has perished and truth has been removed from their mouth.

²⁰ For hear, O women, the word of the LORD, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters a lamentation, and each woman her neighbor a lament.

³ And say, Hear the Word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and people of Jerusalem. So says the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil on this place, which shall cause the ears of him who hears it to tingle.

³¹ "'The sound is echoing to the ends of the earth because the LORD has brought charges against the nations. He will judge all humans. He will kill the wicked,' declares the LORD.

⁴ Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah: thus says the LORD concerning you, 'You shall not die by the sword;

¹ "Hear this, O you priests and pay attention, O house of Israel. Give ear (listen)! O house of the king the judgment is about you. You have been a snare at Mizpah and a net spread upon Tabor.

² the LORD has a quarrel with Judah and will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds.

¹⁶ Now, then, hear the word of the LORD: You say, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not drop words against the house of Isaac.

² Hear, you mountains, the LORD's controversy, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.

² The pious has perished from the earth, and the upright is not among mankind. All of them lie in wait for blood; each one hunts his brother with a net. ³ Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe; and the powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together. ⁴ The best of them is like a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come; now is the time of their confusion. ⁵ Do not trust in a neighbor. Do not put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, be careful of the words of your mouth.

⁵⁵ But you have not known him; I know him. If I said, I do not know him, I would be a liar like you; but I do know him and keep his word.

²⁸ And since they did not see fit to retain the knowledge of God, God gave them over to a base mind, to do what ought not to be done.

³⁴ Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

¹¹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.'
