³ God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and his praise filled the earth.

²¹ And while he was in the waste land of Paran, his mother got him a wife from the land of Egypt.

¹¹ The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.

¹⁶ When morning came on the third day, there was thunder and lightning with a heavy cloud over the mountain and the very loud sound of a ram's horn. All the people in the camp trembled. ¹⁷ And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the foot of the mountain. ¹⁸ Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace. The whole mountain quaked violently! ¹⁹ When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice. ²⁰ The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. The LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

¹⁸ The people heard the thunder and the trumpet blast. They saw the lightning and the smoking mountain. They trembled with fear and stood at a distance.

¹⁵ When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it. ¹⁶ The glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. Then on the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud. ¹⁷ To the Israelites the appearance of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.

¹² And the Israelites set out for their journey from the desert of Sinai, and the cloud dwelled in the desert of Paran.

²⁴ and ye said, 'Behold, the LORD our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the fire, and we have seen this day that God may talk with a man and he yet live.

² Then he said, "the LORD came from Sinai, and he dawned upon them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and he came with myriads of holy ones, at his right hand a fiery law for them.

⁴ the LORD, when you went down from Seir, when you marched from the region of Edom, the earth trembled, the heavens poured down, the clouds poured down water. ⁵ "The mountains shook before the LORD of Sinai, before the LORD, the God of Israel.

¹ Now Samuel died, and all Israel assembled and mourned for him. They buried him at his house at Ramah. Then David got up and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

² Many are saying about me, "God will never deliver him!" [Interlude]

⁴ I cry to LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

⁴ Be disturbed but do not sin. Commune in your heart on your bed and be silent. Selah

¹⁶ the LORD is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

²⁰ Put them in fear, O LORD, let the nations know they are but men. Selah.

¹⁰ Like (according to) your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness.

⁷ God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... Selah. ⁸ The earth shook, and the heavens dropped before God, this Sinai before God, the God of Israel.

¹⁷ The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.

³ The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back; ⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. ⁵ What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back? ⁶ O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O hills, like lambs? ⁷ Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

³ They called to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty. All the earth is full of his glory."

³ When you did awe-inspiring things that we did not expect, you came down and the mountains quaked at your presence.

⁷ Concerning Edom. Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Is there no more wisdom in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom spent?

¹² "I will send a fire upon Teman, and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah."

⁹ And your warriors will be shattered, O Teman, so that everyone from the mountain of Esau will be cut off because of the slaughter!

⁷ Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, ⁸ will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness! ¹⁰ For that which was glorified had no glory, in comparison of this excelling glory. ¹¹ For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!

¹³ And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever.” ¹⁴ The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.
