¹⁸ Moses entered the midst of the cloud as he went up to the mountain. He was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

²⁹ And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD`s.

³³ Then Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured out on the land.

²⁰ The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. The LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
