³ and write on them all the words of the Law. When you cross over to enter the land the LORD your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you.

²⁴ But I have said to you, You shall surely possess their land; and, I, I am giving it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations.

²⁷ And they told him, "We came to the land that you sent us, and it is flowing of milk and honey; this is its fruit.

⁸ If the LORD delight in us, he will bring us into this land, and give it us, a land that flows with milk and honey;

⁸ Tie them as reminders on your forearm, bind them on your forehead,

⁹ "'He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

⁶ For forty years the Israelites traveled in the wilderness until all the nation, the warriors that left Egypt, perished, because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD. To them the LORD swore that they would not see the land that he swore to their ancestors to give to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

³² And Joshua wrote upon the stones a copy of the law, the law of Moses, before the children of Israel.

⁵ that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey," as at this day.'" Then I answered, and said, "Amen, LORD."

³¹ "The time is coming," proclaims the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. ³² It won't be like the covenant I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. They broke my covenant, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. ³³ "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days," says the LORD: "I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

²² and You gave them this land, which You swore to their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey;

² You yourselves are our letter, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by everyone. ³ It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

⁶ Now, however, Jesus has received a far superior ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is superior and is founded on better promises. ⁷ Now if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for a second one; ⁸ But when God found fault with the people, He said: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. ⁹ It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not abide by My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. ¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
