¹⁹ But if someone will not listen to those words that the prophet speaks in my name, I will hold him accountable.

¹⁶ Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

²² In fact, Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to everything he tells you. ²³ Everyone who does not heed His words will be completely cut off from among the people.’

³ how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

⁷ Hence, as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today if you hear his voice,

²⁶ If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains,

²⁵ See to it that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less shall we escape, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? ²⁶ At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also heaven."
